It's good to be surprised. Especially by a tasty and well served meal in a mall. My family and I walked in to Pho Vietz without really knowing what to expect but came out licking our fingers (figuratively speaking) and ready to take on the rest of the Queensbay Mall challenge 😅. Our mains - pork belly baguette, spicy beef noodle and lemongrass chicken dried vermicelli - were well presented, stashed with fresh meat and veggies and tasted just perfect with the right hit of🌶 😋. The baguette had a wonderful crunch and the pork was well marinated. The beef noodle was a massive portion and a bowl at lunch would mean no dinner required. Good quality beef, too. The vermicelli was cooked just right and was not a soggy dollop of carbs. The spring rolls were a tad oily but crispy and tasty. The drinks - basil passion soda, ginger lemongrass and sparkling honey were refreshing and were just perfectly cold. We enjoyed the cool, uncomplicated ambience of the restaurant as well as the quick, attentive service. No fawning over or fake sweetness, but getting the order right and having it delivered correctly. A big 👏 and a massive 👍 to the service crew and the team in the kitchen. Could do with more such...
Read moreBeen here over 10 times but last 2 times were the worst experience here. One time they servered another table the food almost the same like our order, even though we had been there before that table at least 10-15 mins, almost total 30 mins waitng to get served and the food is not as correct as our order note.
Last time we ordered the same order as usual. Maybe there was a mistake or misunderstanding between the servers and the chef so my dish was not prepared as correctly as my order. They offered to exchange the dish but I dont mind fixing it myself.
But the huge minus point was when we checked out, the face of the cashier is grumpy and not friendly at all. Even he was wearing a mask but I and my friend still can see it clearly. He gave me the bill and charge me in a deadly silent. No word: " Thank you" or "See you again" was came out. This place was pretty good when first time we tried it, but unfortunately the experience just drops down...
Read moreFirst time here. It was a pleasant tasty meal. We ordered stir fried flat noodles with seafood and another dish of lemongrass grilled chicken vermicelli. Both were good. The stir fried noodles tasted similar to the Penang Char Hor Fun and has a good “wok hei”. The lemongrass grilled chicken vermicelli was fresh and crisp from the bean sprouts and cucumber and savoury with the well marinated lemongrass chicken. I’m not sure how authentic Vietnamese tastes like but the ones we had were tasty. Worth a try.
Update: We returned for another meal. Ordered the spicy noodle soup. It was yummy. The broth is fragrant, savoury and spicy. Pork patty banh mi was good too. The bread is crunchy on the outside and chewy soft on the inside. Lemongrass grilled chicken rice is good too. Well grilled and the...
