I went with my family over the weekend. Nice bright ambience and there’s only 1-2 tables occupied. Should have take it as warning. The staff were friendly and accommodating but the food was very disappointing.
Here’s what we ordered :
Buldak Chix Rice Rm 19.90 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ My nephew who isn’t a picky eater gave me a skeptical look when I asked him is it nice.
Korean Spicy Seafood Spaghetti Rm 19.90 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ My Mom complained too sweet the sauce. The seafood was fresh and quite generous portion.
Kimchi Fried Rice with Cheese Rm 17.90 ⭐️ My husband complained the rice super sticky due to the thick sauce used to fried the rice. The sauce is sweet and spicy based, not the usual kimchi spicy, sour and slightly sweet only taste. Halfway eating the rice dried up quickly and end up hard to swallow even.
Seafood Stew Rice Set Rm 29.90 ⭐️ The only thing yummy was the 2pcs chicken cheesy balls. The pickled cooling cucumber were nice, thin and crunchy. The main seafood stew? I even doubt if it’s dessert I’m ordering. It tastes like the chef put in generous amounts of 4 tablespoons of sugar into single bowl of stew and make it thick like cream of mushroom thickness. Not much seafood inside with few slices of thin fish cake. I had hard time eating my rice with the disgustingly sweet thick tomato-ish stew.
Boneless Chicken Cube (Small) Rm 9.90 Add Honey Sauce Rm 2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The fried chicken were fresh and juicy, well marinated HOWEVER the honey sauce were huge disappointment. It has that fake commercial strong taste of honey that doesn’t really match with the chicken. I suggest they change other brand of honey, there are other decent one without the strong fake taste. I rather forgo that honey sauce save Rm 2 had I known the honey sucks. The fried chicken nice, can order.
Overall we don’t feel it’s worth and it’s not suitable for our palate. The taste already adjusted to local taste yet failed with lots of sugar in their dishes. It’s not authentic Korean cuisine, those who have sweet tooth might...
Read moreMy sister and I went to Daseo for the first time. We sat down at a fairly empty restaurant as it was still early. The waiter just placed all the menu and QR and left. We had to order using the QR which is quite common these days. We ordered a combo meal for 2 pax. The first thing we got was the chicken bites with cheese. The waiter did not say a word and just placed it on the hot plate and on-ed it. We were clueless on what we were supposed to do, will they assist us or even let us know what we should do. As in other restaurants we have been to, they would assist us. We expected the staff to at least assist us in telling us what to do, but we got nothing from them. A big portion of our cheese burned and some parts of the chicken too. The food was also below average in taste. Somehow the best part of the food was the ice cream which most probably wasn't even made by them! Another thing that I wasn't satisfied with is that although it was obvious that my sister and I were struggling with the cheese, the staff were too busy entertaining themselves with making tiktoks and dancing right in front of me. One of the staff was on her phone most of the time for almost the whole hour I was there. It might have been a promo video for the outlet or a personal video but I still think it is inappropriate to do so in front of customers while dancing and giggling. I would definately not come back to this restaurant not just because of the food but also the service and hospitality...
Read moreI visited your restaurant on yesterday at 8:54pm. I politely asked about the last call and was told it was 9:30pm. After placing my order, the food only arrived at 9:13pm and I still had to wait for the soup to boil.
While I was eating, one of the staff was already sweeping the floor and dragging chairs around, which created noise and made me feel very uncomfortable, as if I was being rushed to leave. Then, at 9:38pm, while I was still enjoying my meal, another staff member came over with the card machine and asked me to pay first because the cashier was closing. I had to tell them to please let me finish eating before I make the payment.
As a customer, this really affected my dining experience. I felt unwelcome and rushed. I would kindly suggest:
Staff could introduce the restaurant’s signature dishes when handing over the menu.
Customers should be allowed to enjoy their meals fully before being asked to settle the bill.
Cleaning should ideally be done after customers finish dining, not during their meal.
I hope you can improve on these points so future customers can have a...
