Went there 3 times, food was above average, its worth it for the price. However, yesterday night me & my wife went to the restaurant at 9pm and we first politely ask if the kitchen is still taking orders, she replied yes (with a somehow annoyed tone), then we go over to the table assigned to us, but we would like to switch to a better place as it is beside the walk way & kitchen, however, to our surprise, the waitress started to show very obvious rudeness towards us and after we went to the table, she collects the extra plates on the table very rudely & the sounds of the plates clashing with each other is what threw us off. We felt like we weren’t welcome and not to mention there’s isn’t even a warm greeting from her in the first place anyway. So we decided to walk out without ordering. If you have to pay for their service and this is what you get, there’s a high chances that you wouldn’t want to continue with their service too. Please educate your waiter/waitress, your restaurant charges for services and your customer should be treated better than this. Anyway, just our bad experience, we believe not all the waiter/waitress are like this. Not going back until next...
Read moreA bit disappointed this time. Had great food pre pandemic but today's food fell below my expectations
First the good news. The food arrived hot. And quite fast. But didn't all come together. Came in fits and starts. Xiao Long Pau came first as expected then the dishes, followed last by the yam dumpling. I expected the yam dumpling to arrive together with the Xiao long Pau. Strange sequence. But the salted egg prawn was excellent. Just enough dash of salted egg without been overwhelmed. Crunchy and the prawn well timely cooked. The vegetable with century egg was light and delightfully seasoned. Soup was tasteful and not too heavy on the tongue. Pork with bun was nicely cooked. Pork was flavorful and juicy tender.
Bad news however is the spinach tofu. Something off about the flavor combination and its flat taste. The yam dumpling was also subpar, with its filling's seasoning not tasty and the yam consistency was a bit lumpy.
Can't comment on the noodle soup la mien post pandemic but will save that for future review and visit...
Read moreThis restaurant usually has a long queue outside, but we came around 3pm, so luckily there was no line. The service was really good — the staff were always ready to serve and kept refilling our tea. Their signature dish, the Xiao Long Bao, is a must-try. It had a thin dumpling skin and was filled with delicious soup inside. My personal favourite was the Diced Chicken with Dried Chilli. It looked scary with the huge amount of dried chilli, but the chicken itself wasn’t too spicy. It was nicely fried with tender meat and super crispy skin. We also really enjoyed their special chilli sauce available on every table — it had a strong shrimp flavour and a good level of spiciness. The only thing I didn’t like was the rice. The bowl was so small, like a kid’s bowl, and it made it hard to eat the rice properly. The rice was also a bit too...
