We’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, but we just finished a tiring trip. Now that we’ve had some time to rest, we wanted to share our experience. The food here is delicious! The chicken, lamb, and fish are all quite good! The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. We’re from China, and we're used to handling everything with just our phones, so none of us remembered to bring cash. Unfortunately, Alipay and credit cards aren't accepted here, which made it awkward when we couldn't pay after dinner. However, the owner was kind enough to trust us and let us pay the next day, despite not knowing us. We were so grateful for his trust! Luckily, on our way back to the hotel, we met a woman at a street stall who was a Chinese Malaysian and could speak Mandarin. She kindly offered to help and accepted an Alipay transfer from us on the spot. However, she didn’t have enough cash on hand to cover the bill. So, she accompanied us back to the restaurant and communicated with the owner, arranging to bring him the cash the next day. Both of them know each other as they run their businesses on the same street. Thanks to their kindness and cooperation, we were able to solve the problem smoothly. This experience left a deep impression on us, and we will definitely come back again in the future.

I recently had lunch at D’Ferringghi Tandoori House, a restaurant offering Pakistani, Indian, Arabian, Western, and BBQ cuisine. The wide-ranging menu might seem promising, but honestly, it was challenging to identify their specialty. We ordered eight dishes, but the flavors felt repetitive and lacked quality. The dishes were inconsistent: the chicken was overly salty, while the dal had almost no salt. This kind of inconsistency in basic seasoning should be avoidable. The chicken gravy served with naan seemed to be repurposed for the biryani as well. Kababs were burnt, and another chicken dish was overcooked to the point of being tough. The one redeeming item was the paneer kabab, which was average but certainly not something I’d return for. For RM295+, the meal was exceptionally overpriced, especially given the quality. I understand this is a tourist spot, but the pricing didn’t match the experience. Perhaps they charge high prices due to low traffic, but I can’t justify the expense for what was served. I won’t be returning, and unless you’re ready to waste cash, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Really authentic. Taste and texture were so well-balanced, it felt like a culinary orchestra in my mouth. We ordered the chicken masala (I shamelessly mopped up every drop of gravy — no regrets), the mutton palak walaa (who knew spinach could taste this good? Mouth-watering surprise!), biryani rice, and 5 cups of orange juice — because one is never enough when you’re washing down spices and happiness. Service? Attentive and genuinely friendly. One of those rare times I actually wanted to leave a good rating without anyone asking me to. As for the atmosphere — clean, no fuss, no frills. I gave it a 5. Not for chandeliers or neon signs, but for being a place that feeds my soul, not just my phone. I’d rather pay for good food than fancy decor that looks good on IG but leaves me hangry. And sorry, before I took any photos, the plates were swept clean. So no food photos. My bad.

A Flavorful Journey of India in Malaysia: Tandoori House Restaurant Review

Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

The restaurant's decor effortlessly blends traditional Indian elements with a modern touch. The dimmed lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for both romantic dinners and family gatherings. Authentic Indian music softly plays in the background, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

The service at Tandoori House is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we were seated, the staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They patiently answered our questions, made recommendations, and ensured our glasses were never empty. Their friendly and courteous demeanor made us feel truly welcome.

Cuisine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Tandoori House's menu boasts a tantalizing array of Indian dishes, from classic favorites to unique regional specialties. We started our culinary journey with the Samosas and the Chicken Tikka appetizers, both of which were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.

For the main course, we couldn't resist trying their signature Tandoori Chicken and the fragrant Lamb Chops. The Tandoori Chicken was succulent and had just the right amount of spice, while the Lamb Chops was a fragrant masterpiece of tender meat and aromatic spices. Accompanied by warm, freshly baked Cheese Naan bread and a selection of chutneys, each bite was a culinary revelation.

Desserts: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

The sweet finale of our meal featured a delectable Fresh Orange Juice which left a refreshing and delightful conclusion to our feast.

Conclusion : The Tandoori House is a culinary paradise that leaves no stone unturned in delivering an authentic and memorable Indian dining experience. The combination of exceptional service, a warm and inviting ambiance, and a menu filled with exquisite dishes make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving the flavors of India. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or a newcomer looking to explore its rich tapestry of flavors, Tandoori House will not disappoint. It's not just a restaurant; it's a journey for your taste buds, and one that you'll want to embark on...

Heed my advice, avoid this place! If I'm being optimistic, avoid this place if you ever see too many customers when you walk in this place. They are not able to handle too many customers at once. It took 10 to 15 mins for anyone to bother taking our order. When I called on some of the staff to order, they pretty much ignored me probably because it's not their responsibility. They were probably just servers. There was only ONE guy that took the orders. We were the first to enter the indoor seating with AC, then followed a couple, and 2 familes. That guy took the orders, took the order of a couple FIRST, followed by 2 families, then finally us. I assumed it was fine as long as they get our food right since there was a lady staff that opened the lights for us when we entered the indoor seating. So I thought they'd know.

The front cover of the menu stated to wait at least 20mins for food preparations. We waited OVER AN HOUR! And then I saw them serving the food according to the order I listed out. The couple, 2 families, then us. The couples got their food roughly in 40mins. We saw the first family got their food and then the 2nd family started getting their first dish. That was when we know we are going to get our food last. By that time, it was already over an hour and we got up, paid for our drinks that was served and got out.

From what we learned, I think they can only handle small capacities to be able to pay attention to their customers better. Had they took our orders first and served us first, maybe just MAYBE we could have gotten our food roughly in about 45 mins. I think that's their average food production speed if you're willing to wait.

In conclusion:

  1. we were first one in, but served last.
  2. their food production is slow.
  3. their mango lassi which was the only thing we tried wasn't bad flavour wise but wasn't cold. Was barely chill temperature. Was served about 20 mins in.
  4. I wasn't going to sit there and pay tourist priced food for such lousy service and non existent food I waited more than...

On the to the hotel today after a long drive from KL, we were really hungry and decided for a quick stop for food as the restaurant was empty with just another table.

We ordered the following for our group of 4. Lamb Kebab. It has good flavour but was just too dry. Possibly overcooked it. Otherwise it was good Tandoori chicken. Had to return the order despite telling the waiter we didnt want some specific pieces. They said they could make it but didnt tell us that they ran out of stock ajd decided to replace withiut checking with us. Hummus with lamb meat. They didnt have in stock and didnt tell us either. We waited and finally asked them when paying and they just answered by saying we didnt charge you. Chicken 65. Was over fried and too dry. Gobi 65. Was just average. Plate of Fries. No salt but we were hungry we just cleaned it. Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan. Both were great. Soft and nice. Recommended.

The biggest issue is their service. With only 2 tables when we ordered and yet it took them more thab 45 mins to get the fries and the vread out. Extremely slow service and totally not customer service forcused. You need to keep chasing them to find out about your orders.

While being critical, some of the food were alright and if they improve on their customer service and bit more attention on the food quality, this will be a great...
