We chose here after seeing the high rating plus many good reviews. But it turned out to be the worse Japanese food we’ve ever eaten. I don’t know are we unlucky or what as there were many reviews saying the food was nice but every dish we ordered were extremely salty! We ordered pork belly don, chawan mushi, miso soup and the sashimi platter (Rm148 or rm158, couldn’t remember). Pork belly was too salty and even the rice so we asked to change the rice but it came back still salty. The pork belly was warm on the surface but cold below. Not sure how do they heat the food? Chawan mushi was like 30% warm only. Not steamy hot. The lady changed for us, hot this time but still very salty. Miso soup also like drinking salt water. So the lady said she will add hot water to it. But still it came back very salty. We didn’t finish the pork belly rice and miso soup. We wanted to order steamboat but were told that all the pots were used upstairs with a large group of people. Luckily also, in a way. Maybe the chefs were all busy preparing food for the large group and simple cook our food? So our only hope was sashimi. Still acceptable but definitely not the best. Some parts of the raw fish were still a little frozen and some parts soft. Anyway, we went home feeling so sick with the saltiness in our throat. And my husband wasn’t full since we didn’t finish our food. Had to eat McD after that. Spent RM205 for food like this..really disappointed. Will never come back. The only thing to praise was the good service from the lady and the one...
Read moreWas attracted to the outer look of the shop as it looks very modern & classy. Walked into the restaurant & was surprised it's empty on a Sunday night. Start to think that the quality of food might be a disappointment. The menu looks attractive, so i ordered a few dishes. The food presentation looks appealing as well. Everything was good till the moment u tasted their food. Ordered 4 dishes n 2 of it was super salty. My tolerance level for salt is very high, but this is overpowering. The ramen soup base is only salty. No other flavours involved. The deep fried octopus is also covered with saltiness. The steamed clams are the worst. All clams are not open, which means the freshness is doubtful. I wonder how the chef handles the food preparation & is able to serve this kind of dish on the table. You're humiliating your own professionalism. The clam is also not well cleaned as u can find mud n sand inside. It is truly unacceptable for such high quality restaurant charging at such a price. The only dish acceptable was the potato croquettes. The taste was average, not under the delicious category as well. This place is definitely a 1 time visit. No wonder it's empty even...
Read moreGreat place for those who are feeling Japanese. Has a decently priced lunch set with all the shenanigans and even dessert.
A rather posh looking place situated at Anson Road, right on the ground floor of Anson Cube, you won't miss the signage for sure. Automated glass doors that just show elegance. A step in and the entire area feels welcoming with the waiter to greet and usher you. The ambience is just relaxing and comfortably chilled. A full scale bar with draft beers also available once you step into the venue.
Large menu but definitely go for the set lunches that are starting at 18 Malaysian Ringgit. Each set comes with green tea, able to request it in hot or cold. Food is brought over in a tray. A complete set with rice, protein of your pick, misi soup, cawanmushi or steamed egg and also some sweet mochi. Do need to remind for tea refills.
Payment was quick and easy. Wide variety of payments accepted. Major credit card vendors excluding American Express (recent change at August) even using the Maybank terminal. Normal e-Wallets and cash are...
