At this place during the evening, wonderful experience with this Ramen shop, a few things to mention, I've actually never went here before everytime I passed over Air Itam as the store opens at 3PM!
Pricing - Value for money The price is in between RM14-RM16, it is up to you to decide whether the price is worth it by reading the lists below.
Taste i - Tonkotsu Ramen (RM14) The ingredients in general are mostly purely homemade, the broth is rich and creamy, apparently it took the chef 10 hours to slow cook the broth to perfection, be sure to really savour the broth if you'd want to! The eggs are also cooked perfectly to have a not-so-hard whites at the exterior and a soft runny Yolk in the inside! The spring onions and corns are greatly provided on top of the Tonkotsu Ramen Seaweed is also provided in the Ramen as shown in the menu The pork in the Ramen is perfectly marinated for a few hours before making it into crispy pork slices with extremely good flavours!
ii - Gyoza (RM10) Chef specially made the gyoza homemade and provide it with generous vinegar When taken a bite, you will experience the delicious ooze coming off from the gyoza!
iii - Matcha Pudding (RM4) Homemade pudding by the chef For any matcha lovers out here, this pudding will take you to the next level as it it has quite the kick, really feel the matcha in it. iV - Green tea, Hot (Free!) Owner serves a free flow of green tea! Feel free to request for a refill if required, consider it as a palate cleanser
Atmosphere - Acceptable The entrance uses like a doorway curtain? The seating can fit around 6-7 tables if I'm correct, lighting is alright
Service - Wonderful Owner will usually ask you if you enjoyed the meal, usually not so crowded, if during those times, the owner is more than willing to entertain you, it gets really lonely when the store has less customers
Seating During the time I went to eat, around 3:40PM, there is only 1 table occupied, I can say you can go ahead and try out during those times if you're planning to have a quiet lunch!
Conclusion It is up to you to decide whether you value their time spent on making the Ramen, for RM14, In my opinion I will say it is a steal, as most restaurants outside will also provide this price, maybe cheaper, however the broth, noodles, eggs won't be as perfect as what I've...
Read moreReally like dining here. I am amazed by how underrated and humble the soup / bone broth is that is not too thick and too blande. I often came across soup that is too thick that I could not finish the whole bowl but this place is an exception. I even top it off with a matcha pudding and it was the best decision ever. It tastes even better than the ramen outlets in mall and is even budget-friendly for the locals. The chef / business owner used to work in Japan under a ramen chef so that is how you know the dish is authentic. Parking is abit hard and might be a little dangerous for cars always come at high speed at the main road. Will defo come back...
Read moreThe best Japanese Ramen Shop near to my house! I ordered everything from their menu and i was so surprised and satisfied. I like their Spicy Miso Ramen (cuz i prefer spicy stuff) and their Gyoza so much! The ramen broth is smooth, creamy and rich. They also provide free hot green tea and it’s refillable. You should try the matcha soft ice; it’s really surprising, creamy and big portion. Highly recommend this Japanese...
