Pauline’s Restaurant greets diners with a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere. The menu is impressively diverse, offering a wide spread from rice and noodles to pasta, hearty main courses, desserts, and even alcohol—making it a great spot to chill with friends. There's even a piano tucked into the corner, inviting those musically inclined to add a casual, charming touch to the ambiance. For my meal, I went with the maggie goreng topped with a fried egg and a piece of fried chicken. To my surprise, the noodles were unusually sweet—so much so that it felt like I was eating a pineapple dessert rather than a savoury dish. While the chicken was at least cooked properly, the overall flavour pairing just didn’t work. The fried pork, too, leaned heavily into sweetness, making me wonder if sugar is the star ingredient in many of their savoury offerings. Thankfully, dessert redeemed part of the experience. The ying yang sesame and peanut dessert was enjoyable—not too sweet, with a pleasant balance of flavours. I also tried the snow jelly drink with goji berries, which was refreshing and light, a nice contrast to the heavier meal. Despite the overly sweet mains, I’m not dismissing Pauline’s just yet. The menu is extensive, and with so many more dishes to try, I’m keeping an open mind. Hopefully, future visits will show more balance in flavours. With a lively vibe and affordable drinks, it still holds promise as a casual hangout spot.

Wanted to check out this relatively new place and so went for their signature rice dish: four flavour rice. It is basically a rice dish with 4 different sidedishes with different flavours. But unfortunately they put a sauce on the rice, which reduces the flavour of the other dishes. So it's not really 4 flavours you get to taste. Pity. And one of the side dishes is really spicy! I wanted to try their signature burger, but unfortunately their equipment was broken so no burgers that day. Then went for the fish and chips. It is always telling if pictures are completely different than the actual dish :). The fish was not bad, but it is a fried fish dish. If you call it Fish and chips then you have to stick to the anticipation your customer has: it actually means that they should use a special batter and a whole fillet and serve it with a tartar sauce. If not, then don't call it fish and chips. This were different pieces of fish with a tiny cole slaw and sweet mayo. Good food, but not what it should be. As to pictures and the real stuff: don't be mistaken by the picture of their signature drink. In reality it is a lot less jelly :) Conclusion: nice restaurant, good setting, but nothing 'special' just the usual stuff.

Great food & desserts available all in one place, no wonder it is getting very popular by the day, which makes finding parking difficult. They have western (chicken chop, fish & chips, pork burger) to oriental dishes (braised pork rice, fried rice, chicken rice, sweet sour bihun soup etc) to hawker's delight (hokkien mee, char koay teow, mee goreng, lor bak, char koay kak etc). The fried laksa not bad.... šŸ˜‹ They have a series of great dimsum & 包ē‚¹ too. Plus, a good line of desserts (black glutinous rice, jelly drink) & Bingsu / PuPu Ice. Rojak sauce with ground peanuts was good... But only served with cucumber, jicama (sengkuang), guava (jambu batu) & pineapple. Very comprehensive menu... Just keep coming back to try all... šŸ˜‹ Will update with pictures then. (24Jun2024) the herbal chicken soup (rice set) was very rich & fragrant. (11Nov2024) they have cakes now - sponge cake, cheese cake & crepe cake. (15Dec2024) new addition to the menu - siakap fish bihun soup - fresh fish & delicious milky soup šŸ˜‹ (7Feb2025) Pork chop ramen was good šŸ‘šŸ» Staff were very friendly & polite.

This isn't the first time to come here. But today's is very disappointed with their attitude. We usually sit outdoor as I have a handicapped family member, so it's easier to go to nearest table. But today is a super hot day. My mother in law whom is a super tiny lady, over 70 years old with my handicapped brother in law, ask the two staffs at the nearest air cond table if they can let us take that table. The other table is too far and too difficult for a handicap person to walk. The rest of the table has been occupied. My brother in law was already having difficulty to stand straight and my mother in law struggling to hold him, it's obvious that we don't have to tell them we have special needs here. Yet, the male staff simply answered her "oh we are doing stuffs here" then my mother in law continue to say "nvm we wait here lo, about how long more", then the male staff brushed her off by saying "we won't be done so soon". Ok so We had to move to outdoor then. After we seated outside for around 1 to 2 minute, the two staffs who refused to attend to special need customers finished off screwing the menu booklet. I don't understand why he couldn't offer a help. There's plenty of empty tables at outdoor seating they can screw their menu book outside and let customer to have that table. Or can even tell us nicely maybe 1 to 2 more minute then they are done. But no. The way he answer my mother in law was pretty obvious. A Quick and precise N O. I'm in service line as well and I totally agree that it's not always customers right. But in this case, they reject and refuse to attend to an old lady with her handicapped son for a table. Such place with such attitude, we will come...

Came here for the second time because of the parking and to give it an another chance. The only good thing I can say is about their drinks. The drinks portion are big and taste good. The service needs alot of improvements. The restaurant’s concept is to order at the counter and pay at the counter. Might need to take your own cutleries, napkins, etc. as well. However I see alot of service attendants and runners which I don’t find them as helpful. They will bring food to the tables and some staffs are very friendly. But every time we go the runners will rush to clean our plates and both times, we were not completely finished but let them clean anyways because we don’t feel like eating anymore. This gave us a feeling like they are rushing us to go back to they don’t have enough plates in the kitchen so they have to wash them and re-use. As for the food, nothing is special, some of them is even below of expectations. For sure the pictures displayed are completely different than the actual dishes and the portion as well. I see a good potential in this place considering the parking space and the opening hours. But for me i wouldn’t recommend this place to my friends or come back unless I am hungry late at night or don’t have...
