A typical Bah Kut Teh eatery with adjacent to a Seafood Noodle or porridge (run by their son-in-law). There are a lot of meat (eg. spare parts, soya bean stick, soya bean cake, mushroom and a lot of variety of condiments which could be added to your soup. There are 2 rice types, one is plain white rice and the other is the yam rice. The patrons here are more to senior group like middle-age or senior citizen and even family with children (children hv no choice but to follow parent). Maybe the soup here are more herbal or stronger herb aroma so the young people are NOT so keen or liking on this stronger herbish taste or in short 'Kor Cha Bi' (Old Fashioned Taste or aroma). My teenage daughter concur that it's NOT what she and her friends prefer or like in a Bah Kut Teh soup taste. Anyway, it was reasonable priced and warm my tummy. This place is my recommended choice for a Bah Kut Teh which...

Very traditional Bah Kut Teh in Penang Island. Located besides the busy main road, limited parking besides the restaurant. The Bah Kut Teh broth is rich in herbal flavor. No thick. Good to mix with rice. There is a wide selection of the meat parts. We asked for a normal portion with some mixed intestines, unfortunately half of the bowl filled up with pork tail, which is not our cup of soup, all left over. It could be due to the fact that we visited at night and they have a limited meat portion to offer. Still we are not asking for the pork tail, and it tasted a bit weird to us. Very unhappy with this. We also ordered the Chai Boey, it tasted fine, the sourness and spicy were adequate. The...

A favourite spot for poached kidney with Bak Kut Teh. Soup quality has been maintained but sadly not the yam rice. Come late for the fuller soup aroma. Tried and tested again with free flowing soup refills. A good cuppa of kopi O is made. Dinner for 3 under RM50. After closing, the family moves to the opposite corner kopitiam to operate a late night fish and pork porridge stall. Typically, its RM15 per bowl of porridge or beehoon with pig stomach, kidney and...

The bak kut teh soup was just mediocre. Personally, I prefer those with stronger taste. This is too mild for me. The ingredients were ok. The chai buey (stewed spicy mustard cabbage) was also average (plain). Place was located right beside a busy road, so it was dusty and fumy. Price point was within the mean level of what one expected to pay for a meal of BKT so, it's alright.
