The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in George Town

We came to CBTL Queensbay Mall on 30 August around 4pm for a cup of Cafe Latte and a cup of Iced Double Chocolate.

Upon being seated, our little one said she wanted something to eat, so I ordered via CBTL app since the place was crowded and I did not want to leave my little one alone at the table.

When I placed an order for Chicken Lasagna with a side of Chicken Popcorn, the staff contacted me to inform that they ran out of Lasagna and offered to switch to any other food that was on the menu without me having to add on any amount. Hence, we ordered the Chicken Aglio Olio, but we requested for pomodoro sauce.

Before the food was ready, the staff came to our table to offer us a complimentary chocolate cake, which my little one was so happy with that she couldn’t help but immediately dig into the cake and said it was tasty.

When the pasta came, the staff mentioned that she added on some sausages for my little one - hoping she would like it. Her thoughts and services rendered was very much appreciated and I feel she deserves to be complimented, but I didn’t catch her name.

Friendly staff, deliciously prepared drinks, great quality coffee beans on sale that you request to be grounded before taking them home.For freshly brewed coffee/today's brew, I rate this chain higher than its globally known rival. Its cold brew(take it without ice)and today's brew(hot) are flavourful. Love the relaxing ambience and seats as well. Wish they could provide more power points though for on the move knowledge workers, entrepreneurs and freelancers. Try the chicken and mushroom spaghetti. The chicken pieces served is shredded chicken breast not chicken ham meaning that it is healthier and value for money. Mushroom slices are large sized button mushrooms. For blended coffee that isn't sweet, go for Gibraltar Latte. Take it with almond milk and soy milk for a stronger coffee taste. For Hot Mocha The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has a no sugar added chocolate powder option. This is a healthier choice. Apple Crumble is worth mentioning. Their style packs apples with less sugar.
