On the table is the ever popular tomyum with instant noodles and fried fish meat, enoki mushroom and Chinese mustard greens (RM11).
The spice is tolerable but because of its thickness, it sticks and burns on the throat much longer. The value though is something less desired and this time around, I find no difference between KL/PJ prices with Penang now.
Village Fish Head Bee Hoon is located few steps away from Chew Jetty, Penang. Queues are imminent and the wait time is 30 minutes during dinner. Order at the front, get a number, prices next door for Al fresco dining. Pay when you get your food. Parking is non existent, so either walk or e-hail but if parking is needed, there are off street opposite which will make crossing the road an experience for the weak hearted.

You choose the fish toppings which are mostly fried (alternative to fried fish head), the type of noodle and the soup base.
We ordered one rice noodle in clear soup and one instant noodle in tom yum base. Same fried fish head toppings for both.
I recommend the rice noodle in clear soup because it allows you to taste the natural flavour of the fish (topping).
I absolutely not recommend the tom yum. It didn't seem like Thai tom yum but some sort of Korean instant spicy noodles flavour. It was way too overpowering that I couldn't taste anything other than the spiciness. It ruined the entire dish.
The fried fish head topping was ok. Nothing that I...
