A&J Grill Western JB — Restaurant in Johor

During our recent stay at Miico Hotel in Mount Austin, we discovered A&J Grill Western JB—a hidden gem right besides us, for a satisfying late-night feast. We couldn’t resist trying their delicious food ☺️

1. Wagyu Burger (RM38.90) 
Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 4
The wagyu burger was pure indulgence—thick, succulent Wagyu patty oozing with rich juices, perfectly charred on the outside, and layered with melted cheese and fresh crisp veggies. Served with sweet potato fries!
2. Cheeseburger Set (RM22.99) 
Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 4
The cheeseburger set was equally impressive, with a tender, well-seasoned beef patty and gooey cheese that stretched with every bite, paired with golden, crispy fries.
3. Grilled Lamb Chop (Rm28.90)
Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 5
The true showstopper was the Grilled Lamb Chop —a masterpiece of smoky, chargrilled perfection. The meat was incredibly tender, with a caramelized crust that locked in all the savory, herb-infused flavors. Each bite was a harmony of smokiness, juiciness, and a hint of rosemary, making it unforgettable. 

If you're craving hearty, expertly grilled Western food, A&J Grill is a must-visit. Every dish we tried was packed with bold flavors and cooked to perfection—definitely worth coming back for! 🍔🔥 A&J Grill Western JB

Taste wise, mushroom soup with bread, sedap! 😋 masyaallah. But portion, tak puas. Perhaps because it is meant as appetiser lah hor.

Spaghetti kahwin. Wow 😯 who could have thought eh. Siapa suka bolognese dia rasa pedas pedas manis, this one is for you. Not recommend to come And try their spaghetti sebab you can do it at home huhuu 🙊

As for the nasi goreng kambing crispy, kambing liat sikit but nasi goreng dia, sedap! 😋 alhamdullilah.

The drinks were perfect 👌🏻✨

Cuma, background music waktu kami datang clash dengan bacaan surah surah. I dont know if its from the same building ke apa but if you want to open either one, we ok dik. Or if its not your shop yang buka surah surah tu, we ok if tak de music for awhile 😅

Personally, the food is sub-par, its not that bad, but its a little bit pricy.

You have to order by writin it down, which was fine, but the fact that they forgot about my order for a full 30 to 45 minutes and didnt even bother to ask about it is just pathetic for a restaurant to treat their customers that way.

The surrounding pretty nice i guess, nice choice of decor, but kinda odd to have happy birthday flags.

To put it simply, food was okay, nice place ig, and slow and unreliable service, it wasnt just me, it was also a few other people's order that they took a long time to process. Not a place that you'd put in a top 10 places to visit in Johor Baru

For the malays: food dia ok, overpriced sikit, servis dia lambat n unreliable tapi atmosphere...
