Big Ben's restaurant Jb — Restaurant in Johor

Happened to find this place when we just finished late night shopping at NSK.

Pictures posted were from two separate visits.

First up, large variety of food from western, to Chinese fusion. If you come for lunch, they have fairly good variety of set lunches as well. Did I mention that they have draft beer which I think was quite reasonably priced.

Everything we had was good! Could tell all the dishes were prepared only after we ordered. Had a chat with the lady manager and she shared that they will review that menu periodically and the chef always put in effort to ensure the food is cooked well. On both visits, we had the sharing platter (with different meats) and our party of four could not finish it as the serving was quite big.

Service-wise, all the staff were very attentive. On our second visit, our boy left his bag there. When we came back the next day, I was pleasantly surprised to find the staff recognising me and quickly took it out from safekeep to pass to me.

Place is clean and with nice deco. I liked how they changed the theme on our second visit with 80s theme and played a good selection of oldies, but still keeping the ambience and music ata pleasant level.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to chill if...

The service standard was very poor, with staff appearing inattentive and unresponsive to customer needs, gave me weird reason to cancel my food order whereas they could have just say sold out 🤣. Carbonara pasta poached egg fully cooked?

Extremely smelly soaked cloth smell roaming in the restaurant, not sure if it's their mop were not cleaned properly before they use or their air con were not maintained?

This negatively impacted my overall dining experience.

However their roasted pork belly is quite good.

Improving staff training, attentiveness, and professionalism would go a long way in enhancing customer satisfaction. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works toward better service standards in...

The restaurant is clean and spacious. Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood, parking is quite abundant. Menu is quite comprehensive and price is very reasonable for the (generous) portions served. Food is well-plated and very delicious. We ordered lamb chop, grilled chicken chop and chicken quesadillas with salsa. They even consented to my husband’s request for sunny-side ups and plated them nicely too! Happy Hour beers are quite a fair deal (can keep as credit with restaurant for 2 months if cannot finish on the day itself). My ridiculous photo-taking skills don’t do justice...
