It's my second visit yesterday 27/7 ever since they first opened.
I tend to want to give F&B establishments a second chance to find their footing around things, but our second visit fell really short & disappointing.
Usual menu food items were alright (pizza & carbonara) but the July specials lasagna as well as their cod fish fillet was disappointing. The lasagna literally fell over when it was served and it was swimming in tomato gravy.. It felt like we were drinking lasagna soup instead of having a pasta dish. The cod fish fillet had a sad piece of potato inside & the sauce was just bland for RM95.
I do want to point out that we were there at 6pm - they ran out of soft drinks, juices and even WATER! My partner ordered a 750ml bottled water, and the lady waitress told us there's no more 750ml sized water? Asked if we could accept the 350ml one instead, to which we said yes given there's no other choice.
When the rest of our guests arrived, we asked for more water and they brought out a 750ml bottle water.. At this point, we had 1 small bottle and 1 big bottle of water already.
1 hour later, as it was getting really hot & steamy in the restaurant, we had to order more water. To which the manager said, they were totally out of WATER. It's either we pay more for AQUA Pana or get alcohol beverages.
While they were telling us there's no more mineral water both 350ml (rm9) & 750ml (rm15). Other tables around us received bottled water. The exact same one that we had!
Is this the way to do business? You are forcing the sales of alcohol upon your customers by telling them there's no more water, no more juices, no more soft drinks. No more NON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES on a Saturday at 6pm?
It's either the staff was oblivious to every thing the restaurant has to offer or either their way of doing sales for the restaurant is to force their customers to purchase their alcoholic beverages.
Either way, it's not a good way.
Please, if your restaurant is too hot to be comfortable for customers, at the very least, offer water for the comfort of your customers.
We are willing to pay for your water. Just don't be dishonest by telling us there's no more water yet other tables are receiving them just to make us buy alcoholic beverages. Or, maybe put up a sign on your front door that says "no plain water & beverages here. we would only like to sell alcoholic beverages!"
Note : We drove, that's why we refused...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant with high expectations due to the glowing reviews, but we were absolutely disappointed. The food we had was either too salty or completely bland. Some of the prices listed on the receipt were also different from those on the menu.
What we ordered:
Ravioli del Plin It was salty, and the light broth it was served in felt a bit too watery—not sure if that was intentional or just poorly executed. The price stated on the menu was RM36, but we were charged RM39.
Saucisse Pizza The saltiest dish we had. The pizza dough was fine—thin and airy—but the topping (meat) was extremely salty and overpowered everything else. Not even the tomato sauce could balance it out. The price on the menu was RM42, but we paid RM44.
Stinco di Maiale This was the biggest letdown. The dish wasn’t listed in their physical menu, but we found it on the digital menu with pictures (which didn’t show any prices or descriptions of the dishes). What we got was a very dry and bland pork dish. It wasn’t juicy at all, and it tasted like it hadn’t been seasoned. We hoped the sauce would help, but it somehow made it worse—it was bitter, and there was barely any of it on the plate. The roasted potatoes that came with it were also in need of seasoning. This dish cost RM80, but we were far from satisfied.
P.S. One of the staff who took our order asked if we wanted plain or sparkling water. We said “plain,” and he proceeded to serve us a large bottle of Acqua Panna without confirming. We’re not sure if the bottle was 750 ml or 1L, but the receipt stated 1L and charged us RM21. Keep in mind, this specific water brand wasn’t even listed on the menu. They only had Lauretana in 330 ml and 750 ml, with the large one priced at RM15.
There’s definitely room for improvement, both in terms of food quality and pricing transparency. Hopefully, they take...
Read moreToday a dinner with my family of 5 at this establishment. The food was quite good and the atmosphere was good also. But the service is not up to par because maybe lack to staff. The waiter, the cashier and the cleaning of the table could be the same person. Cutting the meat for the Taglieri (Cold Platter) could the same person also. So they are very busy and could not pay enough attention the customer and serving the table. It was a bit disappointed for our visit today also as our orders of food was slow due to miscommunication. We had to check with the server for the food before they realize the order was not fulfill. The order of the food was quite puzzling also. The starter and one of the main course came together quite fast, then come the cold platter after checking with one of the server. Then our pasta and one the pizza was not made due miscommunication and we had to wait quite some time. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was good but the service could use some improvement. The server was good enough to give us some discount as two of the drinks was not in the overall bill.
We had the following food Cold Platter for 2 person (It is good enough for person of 5) Polpette Cozze with White Wine Pizza Stracciatella (Highly recommend) Conchiglioni Clams (Al Dente is too hard for me, will recommed to have it in normal instead of Al Dente) Pork Ribs (Good with bread, remember to request for bread) Pizza Sucisse Birra Moretti (Beer) Pistachio Gelato Soda Drink Watermelon Juice
The damage was around MYR 400++ without the Soda and Watermelon Juice in the final bill.
Remember to make reservation to avoid disappointment. I have seen quite a number of walk in customer has to leave because the place was always full during...
