This Restaurant is located at the Ground Floor of the R&F Mall at the Opposite Side of the Mall if you were to reach here via the Long Walkway from CIQ.
Its a Big Spacious, Air-Conditioned Place and their Main Specialty is 牛肉火锅 Beef Hotpot. There is a Condiments Counter and a Free Roselle Tea Counter for Customers so you don't have to order any Drinks.
The Staffs consists mostly of what looks like Myanmmar Folks. They're Friendly and Welcoming but keep to themselves. The Lady Boss is a China Lady from China Chaoshan herself. She was Very Friendly, Patient and Knowledgeable in explaining the Dishes they had.
D1 卤狮头鹅例牌 Braised Goose (Small) = RM58.00
The Goose they serve here is a Unique type of Goose known as 狮头鹅 (African Goose). Beautifully Cut and Presented, the Amount of Meat feels Generous for the Small Portion that I ordered. There are No Filler Padding like Cucumbers at the Bottom. Slices of Meat are not Overly Thin and Stingy Looking and are just the Right Sized.
The Braised Goose meat itself has a Beautiful Clean, No Gamey Taste. The Bite Texture here is Tender and Similar to Braised Duck but without the Taste of Duck.
The Braised Sauce is Noticeably Salty but Not Overly So. Just the Right Amount of Salty. Its also not the Herbly type of Sauce, more Soy Sauce based. Sauce and Meat paired Beautifully here. Braised Goose is a nice Mid-Way Compromise if you like Goose Meat but you don't like it to be Too Fatty or Oily.
H1 潮汕生腌膏蟹 Marinated Raw Crab (Small) = RM58.00 each
This Dish is exactly what it is. Literally Marinated Raw Crab. So for people who cannot take Raw Seafood, I do not recommend ordering this. I LOVE how they plated this. It looks so Classy! The Version of Crab used here is Female Mud Crab 膏蟹 with Plenty of Roe as you can see.
I'm also Very Happy to see that they have Removed the Gills of the Crab Cleanly. This Eatery actually knows what they are doing. This Particular Crab's Roe is Very Gao Gao, Soft and Creamy. The Meat is Beautifully Soft, Tender and Fresh.
Soul of this Dish is the Marinade Sauce. Its Salty and Slightly Spicy. Slightly Different from Korean-Styled of Marinade which leans more towards Sweet. This one taste like its mostly Soy-Sauce based. Nice Marinade and it penetrated very nicely into the Crab Flavouring it very well. That said some parts of the Crab can be abit Raw and Stinky but it quickly passes. This is a Well Made Dish, but because of its nature, this is not for everyone.
G9 汕头牛肉丸汤 Shantou Beef Ball Soup (Small) = RM16.90
The Lady Boss herself personally recommended this as one of Chaoshan's Speciality. I can tell she is very proud of this one and rightly so. This right here is a Masterpiece!
For the Small Bowl I ordered, its quite a Large Bowl and comes with 4 Beef Balls. The Soup has a Salted Vegetable 酸菜 Savoury 清甜 Taste. Not Bad Tasting Soup. But the Highlight of this Dish are the Beef Balls! OMG those Beautiful Balls!
H3 鲜榨杨梅汁 Babyberry Juice = RM16.90
Served in a Plastic Bubble Tea looking Cup, the Amount of Fruit Pulp given is Very Generous. It looks like Crushed Strawberry and Biting it gives a Very Slight Tart Sourish Taste. The Drink itself is Sweet but Not Overly Sweet. Very Refreshing and Very Nice Tasting Fruity Drink.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
I really enjoyed my time here and especially enjoyed conversing with the Very Friendly and Knowledgeable Lady Boss. Everything served here is Restaurant Quality Standard from the Exquisite Taste to their Dish Plating.
It was an Absolute Privilege to be able to finally taste Authentic Unique Chaoshan Cuisines! Highly Recommended!

This Teochew restaurant is a hidden gem, especially if you're craving something that's hard to find: braised goose. The goose is imported directly from Chaoshan, China, and it's as authentic as it gets. Rich, tender, and perfectly braised — a true delicacy that’s not easily found in Malaysia.
They're also famous for their fresh beef, usually slaughtered in the morning and served the same day. You can choose from a variety of cuts to go with their authentic Teochew-style steamboat, which really brings out the natural flavor of the meat. A must-try for beef lovers.
Another standout is the goose liver — incredibly smooth and rich, arguably one of the best I've had outside of China.
Service-wise, the staff aren't the most attentive, but they have a good attitude and are always polite and helpful when approached.
I’ve visited this place many times and it’s always consistent. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality and rarity of the ingredients.

Where do I even begin? The beef was terrible—low quality, not tender, had a weird smell—and yet they had the audacity to call it “Wagyu Beef Week” and double the price for it?! It’s laughable. If this is your "once-a-year" special, I’d hate to see the regular stuff.
We ordered the 生腌螃蟹, and it turned out to be salty flower crab—not the good kind. After tasting the beef and seeing the cleanliness of the restaurant, we honestly didn’t dare to touch the raw crab anymore.
I’ve had Teochew beef hotpot in many cities/countries, and this was hands down the worst. If you’ve ever had decent beef, this place will just make you angry—and maybe even laugh at how bad it is.
This place clearly isn’t about quality. Just a quick cash grab, hyping up fake promotions and riding on fake reviews. Overpriced, overrated, not authentic at all. 挂羊头卖狗肉.
To the restaurant: If you don’t understand what Teochew-style beef hotpot is supposed to be, maybe stick to regular hotpot instead of fooling your...
