UOB Branch - City Square — Local services in Johor

Downstairs staff give number and ask to go upstairs.. then wait at 2nd level for almost an hours until bank going to close at 4pm but still can't reach my number. Approaching to the counter and then only staff helped to ask another staff who responsible for opening saving account. But then attitude not really good and not professional at all. He checked to the UOB website for my inquiry and then ask me can read by myself! Some more, said counter only for investment or big amount opening. Then said saving account opened through counter need to take longer time. I really speechless and asked him why UOB so big different as compared to other bank? I never face the problem on opening an account that cannot be done on the spot! However the reason given by him is because UOB bank is 外资银行 (foreign bank). Lol. I used HLB,PBB,MBB,OCBC in Malaysia while used DBS and MBB in Singapore but never heard about this kind of reason! So UOB, is it really your process issue or your staff issue?...

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Siti Nor Azliza. Her professionalism and dedication are exemplary, reflecting the true meaning of her title as Branch Service Manager. Her patience and attentiveness were truly commendable. While I rarely provide compliments, I feel compelled to acknowledge her exceptional performance. I commend UOB for having such a dedicated and valuable member on their team.

On the other hand, I observed that the level 2 service staff demonstrated a lack of in-depth product knowledge and limited willingness to go the extra mile for customers. It's a delightful experience for me today at UOB. Came here for particular update, account opening, lawyer contact, etc. All done within hour. Started from counter, the staff Siti Nor Azliza understood my queries quickly and responded promptly. She even goes extra mile to help coordinating with KL HQ while I was being attended by another staff and saved my hassle. The other desk staff Goh Jia Yong is also very attentive to my queries and clear my doubt in seconds. Things went smooth and efficient with their profession.
