Grand Jade CIQ Hotel — Hotel in Johor

First and foremost, THIS PLACE DOESNT HAVE PARKING SPOTS FOR U. Reason being its close to CIQ therefore many people travel to work will park there. Be aware of where u park as well, non parking lines will be summoned (Saman dalam bahasa melayu) by the police and its RM250. However, for those that really need parking, u can try your luck after hours as there will be many people going back from work. Additionally, there are non authorized parking vallet people charging u 20 ringgit by the back by and indian fat uncle from the chinese restaurant. However there is this friendly chinese uncle by the motorbike shop just beside the hotel that helps u take care of your car for RM12 per day.

As for the hotel room, oh dont get me started. Once u enter, u will be welcomed by a super strong horrendous smell. Dirty bed rest frame, Towel and bed sheet with stains, what looks like period stains. Tv with no signal, Drawers with dust inside. Shower head with not stable heat pressure.

As for the service, the staff was kind and give enough information. For the cleaning services, this is where anyone that is trying to do survey has to be cautious. The room has no do not disturb or no cleaning sign or button. I told the cleaner that morning and when i came back at night i realized 2 new water bottles of mineral on the table. Meaning they still entered. For those that bring valuable belongings be aware of this.

As for food, there is a malay restaurant that serves great food (for my taste) the morning shift chef with bald head is good at cooking.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Never again. I book this hotel a month before after carefully spent my precious time looking a hotel base on location, rating and affordability. I specified that I will arrive late for check in. When I reach, after taking my ic, and so called registration, was told that there was no room for me and my family. Imagine at 11.30pm us with our 5 years old toddler travelling almost half of the day only to be told that there is no room for us. So the supervisor told us that he has 2 options to give, either refund me or gave me another room at another place and 50 ringgit for me to pay the grab. I tried to get another hotel around that area but it was the weekend and there is no reasonable rooms available nearby plus its already midnight and my 5 years old is already cranky. So we were sent to Here hotel in Skudai, which we were so far away from where we wanted to be and a lower grade hotel.
