Ticket Price for 1 Adult = RM6.00 Admission Charges Information are in the Photos I've taken.
This is a very nice place to visit if you would like to learn more about the History of Johor Bahru. It was certainly an Educational and much needed Quiet Break from all the Foods and Mall Visits that JB is famous for.
The Museum itself is not very big, the 1st floor is free for visit and has a Public Restroom and even a Water Dispenser for Travellers. I really appreciate this because this is a great place to take a rest to freshen yourself.
That said, I would recommend to pay RM6.00 for the Entry to support them instead of just using the Restroom/Water Dispenser for free. The Museum itself has 3 more levels above (During my visit, highest level was closed for renovation) Do note there are no Elevators available, you can only go up via Staircase.
The Exhibits Area is Small but do have several Artifacts with some Video Guides and many Historical Explainations that are all available in English / Chinese. It is relatively cleanly maintained and is Air-Conditioned, although it isn't very cold. There were hardly any people around when I was there on a Weekday.
If you don't mind a RM6.00 ticket and is a History Buff looking for an alternate look at Johor Bahru, I do recommend this place. Please note that they are...
Read moreGood place to learn more about the Chinese heritage and the history of how Johor Bahru is link to the history of its Chinese community.
Very environmental friendly as the lights in the museum works by sensory movements. Only when you go to a specific area then the area will lit up (kinda gloomy at parts of the museum but hey, it's more eco friendly)
Rm6 for entrance is definitely worth it. Download their app and you can scan the QR codes while it explains what is in the exhibit (with audio).
Highly recommended for tourist as well as locals who are interested in...
Read moreThe Chinese Heritage Museum is a great new addition to Johor’s cultural scene. It provides a lot of fascinating history about Johor and showcases the strong historical relationships between the Chinese community and the Sultan of Johor. The museum itself is relatively new, and while there’s an upper floor you can visit, it requires a small fee of RM 6 per adult. I didn’t pay to explore the upper floor, but I believe there’s even more information about Johor up there. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting if you’re interested in learning about Johor’s rich...
