Wanted to visit this place and give it a try after seeing it from a YouTuber video by chance. And what a surprised when I realised this restaurant was just opposite my Airbnb! When we went in, there was a guard to guide on parking so we managed to park outside the restaurant entrance. Went in and the atmosphere was very nice. Like the name implies, it’s a very Chinese feel. We loved the atmosphere. Between ala carte and buffet, we chose the classic buffet priced at RM79.90. There’s a luxury buffet at $119.90. Do note that this is weekday lunch pricing. The menu is pretty extensive and they have many exotic items like pig’s brain, duck blood, pig blood, duck intestines and many more. They even have braised chicken feet which is not a normal item. They have prawns and the server will peel the prawns for you. That is a huge plus!! For the soup bases, we can choose up to 3 so we ordered chicken soup, Mala soup and also the signature white pepper pig stomach soup. The soups were a winner and we feel it’s much better than steamboat places in Singapore. They also have cooked items like fried rice and fried fritters and many more. We tried the deep fried milk rolls and it was really good. Due to our small capacity, we didn’t manage to try a lot of food but we still managed to get our money worth on the buffet. So I would strongly recommend going for the buffet. Whether luxury or classic will be up to individual preference. They also have a machine to blow fresheners on you after eating so that it can help to remove some of the steamboat smell on the body. Apologies I forgot to take photo of that. All in all, it’s a 5 stars dining experience for us and we will definitely be back again!

We had seen the tiktok of this hotpot joint and decided to try it out today. With no regrets, this is by far the best hotpot restaurant with a very reasonable price for 3 choices of soup and a wide variety of fresh meat, seafood and vegetables. The soup choices we made are pork, chicken and Tom yum and there are all incredibly tasty. There are many types of sauces and condiments for you to mix and match as well as good selection of stick ice creams. Halfway through the meal, there is a performance of face changing and the performer going around the restaurant to high five with customers. The service is beyond excellence. The staffs are very attentive especially the manager, Leon. They will go around tables to clear away empty plates and bowls and make sure that the soup level is not low and did a top up immediately if it is low. When the staff are taking hot soup, they will shout "hot" so people will not bump into them. When we left, we call a grab car and it was drizzling. They even have someone to shelter you with umbrella at the entrance to the car! Overall, the ambience, attention to detail, the staff uniform, the service, the performance, the deco, the food are all incredible with only a very slight miss which is the winter melon drink which we order is very sweet. If you are looking for a nice hotpot places in JB, this is a must try restaurant on the list.

Made a reservation to come try their luxury buffet at RM119.9/pax during weekday lunch. Scan QR code and can order anything $0.00 in menu. Soup base can have 3 kinds. Nobody wanted spicy today so we had tomato, pepper pig stomach and sour vege soups. All 3 were amazingly tasty. There is a huge variety of differents meats, vegetables and other cooked items available. 1 downside we faced was, some orders confirmed on the app but took really long to be served. We reminded and they finally served it. I felt the order got lost somewhere. Food served were fresh and tasted good, especially the grilled lamb skewers. Some of the items are really small in size like the scallops, squid, fishball, meatballs. Raw Oysters were fantastic but that took some time to be served as well. A great spread of condiments sits waiting for everyone to help themselves to. Plenty of choices. There is also ice, wintermelon, snow pear drinks available for free flow. Sadly they do not provide a bin at the table for rubbish and unwanted shells. But this is made up by their quick service in terms of clearing dirtied plates and bowls. The service is great. Staff are attentive and we even had our raw prawns peeled before we cook them. Amazing! They also helped to change out empty drink jugs. Soup refills were also initiated by them. Will gladly recommend this to others.

I have been a returning customer to this restaurant with fairly good experiences until recently. Upon arrival around 1pm, Thursday (13/3) right at the door, the familiar faces from as early as a few weeks were no longer present. After a brief wait, my gf and I were shown to the table with a waiter wearing glasses waiting beside. As usual, the question of buffet or ala carte menu was asked by Marcus. We didn’t take long to decide on the luxury buffet option. Before leaving for the washroom, my gf gave me the blessing to decide with the order without her. For a start, I ordered the melon drink before getting on with the ordering with my phone. Subsequently, Marcus returned with the bottle but with only one cup being presented. When I asked for another cup, he replied that she had not made her order yet. I was taken slightly aback by his refusal. From previous encounters, the drink came in a large bottle for general sharing at the table. Since I have yet to complete the ordering process, I allowed the moment to slide. Shortly, I noticed that some of the items notably the skewer options were missing. I enquired with a waitress nearby, she admitted that there was a tour group earlier had consumed the bulk from the inventory. It was only 1pm plus thus the shortage came as a surprise. Comparatively, Marcus made no mention of the situation when we placed the order earlier. She swapped our order for the regular buffet instead. When my gf returned, I gave a brief description of the changes. We had start the whole order afresh. With her return, Marcus proceeded to enquire about the drinks option with her. As anticipated we had the same flavour in mind. His measures were proven to be a waste. He quickly reappeared with a glass. This time I noticed, he did not leave immediately. Instead, he started a conversation while his back was facing me the entire time. As he left, she said he was going to get her an apron. All that in the absence of a submitted order. He went so far as to offer her a hairband to tie her hair on top of that. Swiftly he reappeared with the apron for her. We already had our time wasted from his negligence on informing the supply shortage. Instead of allowing us to reorder asap, he was swift to offer the unnecessary extras while his actions were focused on her exclusively. I remarked he should have extended the offer to all on the table. He insisted that he had asked me. My patience was certainly being tested again. Subsequently, he brought out a tub for my gf to choose the hairband. Instead of leaving, he turned to me to ask if I wanted one as well with a smirk.

Finally, I decided that I was having none of this. I threw the question over his intentions. Immediately the staff including the duty manager swamped to the scene. In the presence of his seniors, I gave Marcus a chance to explain himself which he responded with absolute silence. Instead of finding out what actually transpired, the manager offered to change tables as a solution. As if that offered any remedy? Unimpressed since no order was made, we decided to leave. At the door, the manager with a million dollar smile tried to persuade us to return sighting Marcus was talking to someone else instead?! With time wasted, we left without any hesitation.

Following the incident, I was able to get intouch with a senior staff who was absent during this very visit. From the single phone call she gave me her word that she would escalate the matter with her boss. With over a week gone, I have yet to receive any update from her or the owner. Be it lip service or for reasons untold, the attitude towards the matter sums up to the greater whole. It will be dreadful to imagine if the same level of attention or the lack thereof, are being applied to the entire operations as a whole. This has to be one of the worst dining...

Was here on Saturday, 26 July 2025. A good restuarant with quality food, service is also good, however the serving of our ordered food for the steamboat was really really very slow given that there is a 2hrs time limit for dinning. I estimated about 45mins of my time is wasted waiting for my order to reach my table one by one and the restuarant is not even fully packed. I understand that the food needs to be prepared but the time taken is sort of unacceptable for my opinion. We had finish our first round of order and made a second order for more items, sadly only 1 items came and it is almost 10mins to our 2hrs time limit pushing us to eat in a hurry and rush off without waiting for the remaining order to come.

SGD68/pax to dine for only about 1hr 15mins is rather expensive and rush given that the food also takes time to be cooked. NOTE: there is only 2 if us and we didn't ordered any unreasonablely big quantity, but just good enough for us to taste how their food is.

When i left, the cashier counter had asked about my dinning experience and had been feedback about what i mentioned in this feedback, i could see from his expression that this could be a very common feedback gjven by other customer too.

The experience could have been much better if the order was serve faster (like within 15-20mins. But given the speed of serving our order, it gives me the inpression that the slow serving could be done on purpose.

In summary, good ambience, good service, quality food but the serving of our ordered food come too slow. If you are opening a buffet restuarant charging premium price, please ensure the food are serve promptly as it gives a bad impression that you shortchange us who is willing to pay for good quality items.

Replying post: @Xianglong Xin Jiang Hu, i dont see any option here to reply to your respond below, hence adding my respons here.

I believe that you are looking into my feedback but what is the point of asking for my table number and time if visit where i had already encountered such experience. This experience actually makes me think twice should i intend to visit your restuarant again and also to my other friends who we had always share about good restuarant with good food like yours previously.

You may wish to prioritize your direction by looking into how to improve the speed of having the order delivered while charging such premium price to minimize more disappointed patron like me instead of asking for more information from me maybe just to look at some cctv scene. On a side note, i was so disappointed on the date of dining that i discard the receipt immediately after exiting your restuarant and is unable to provide you with the...

Dragon's Journey Hotpot offers a unique and immersive dining experience that will surely appeal to anyone who loves interactive, flavorful meals. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance immediately stands out with its sleek, modern design paired with subtle Asian-inspired touches, creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere.

The highlight of the experience is, of course, the hotpot itself. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of broths to choose from. Whether you're a fan of the classic, rich, and spicy Sichuan broth or prefer something milder like the clear herbal broth, there's something for every taste preference. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, with an impressive array of meat, seafood, and vegetable options to cook in the bubbling broth.

One of the most enjoyable aspects is the customization. You can create your own hotpot by choosing from a selection of broths, proteins, veggies, and dipping sauces, allowing you to tailor your meal to your exact liking. The sauces are flavorful and diverse, with options ranging from tangy and sweet to rich and spicy, complementing the ingredients perfectly.

The service is generally attentive, with staff being knowledgeable about the menu and happy to explain how to properly cook different items in the hotpot. The only downside might be that it can get a bit busy during peak hours, which might lead to a slightly longer wait for food, but the experience is definitely worth it.

Portion sizes are generous, and the meal can easily become a communal, social event, perfect for sharing with friends or family. It's also worth noting that the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get, making it a great value for a fun and filling meal.

In conclusion, Dragon's Journey Hotpot provides a flavorful, fun, and customizable dining experience that is both delicious and enjoyable. Whether you're a hotpot enthusiast or new to the experience, it's definitely...
