Best prawn noodle soup - worth the trip. Came on a Monday morning around 9am and had the whole place to ourselves. The kopitiam is airy and comfortable, with ceiling and standing fans keeping it cool. My wife ordered the medium-sized prawn noodle (RM10) with kway teow. The bowl is huge, with a generous portion of noodles, 1 medium prawn, and 1 smaller prawn. The real star is the soup - an easy 9/10 from my wife. Rich, naturally sweet, and packed with deep prawn flavor. We had a lovely chat with the friendly owner, who shared that she cooks the soup for hours to distill the prawn essence - and it truly shows in every sip. Compared to Singapore’s prawn noodles (which often have more condiments like shallots and chili), this one stands out for its pure, intense prawn taste. Medium size is RM10, large is RM11 - fantastic value. Honestly, the soup alone is worth coming here for.

One of the best prawn mee that I have ever had. Been coming to this place ever since I was a small kid and this place still serve one of the best prawn mee. The umami in the soup is so strong and the mee is succulent. The prawns have been reduced to almost shrimp size because of the duration that it was in the broth. Will come back in the near and the very very far future. The big bowl of prawn mee costs RM9 and the medium bowl costs RM8.

The prawn noodle broth is thick and tasty. For rm9 you get a gigantic bowl of noodle. Rm8 is much smaller in comparison just for rm1 difference 😀. The coffeeshop sells only prawn noodle and Yong Tau Hu. Though the place looks run down, the overall cleanliness is ok. It’s the old school coffeeshop you can expect in Johor Bahru. Nothing fancy. Go for the prawn noodle and you won’t regret.
