Hock Kee Kopitiam (Taman Molek) — Restaurant in Johor

I’m writing to sincerely thank you and your team for the wonderful experience I had at your restaurant during my recent visit to Johor Bahru.

Specially travelled down to visit this outlet. Place is a bit ulu but overall experience is great!

I came with my wife on a Sun morning. Place is almost full when we arrived. Staff are quick to greet us, they are friendly and polite.

The nanyang coffee here tasted a little bland to my liking. I ordered hot kopi C kosong, large.

Food wise, i have ordered mee siam, steamed chicken curry mee, and sambal cucumber with egg toast.

I would recommend mee siam, it tasted as though it was braised in some broth beforehand. Anyhow, it was super delicious. The drumstick that was served with it was a little dry. However it didn't affect me since mee siam, to me, is the real mvp.

The sambal cucumber egg toast sounded funny to me at first. I didn't regret ordering it. The buns served was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. It adds on an slight crunchy texture to each bit. Cucumber does the same job. This dish is great for people who enjoys the balance between sweet and savoury.

Went a lot of time to have breakfast there but today the food is really disappointing. The drinks is still nice but sorry to say the toast tasted disgusting.

Ordered 6 sets of toast and found out that they changed the bread. The bread was very thin and soggy (even the butter is thicker then the bread). Seriously I think even Massimo or Gardenia bread is better then what being served.

If this is the first time I visit the shop and this the kind of food i get, it will be the last time I visit this shop.
