This is my first time dine in at Mentai. We came on a Sunday noon. It opens at 12pm and we reached at 12:05pm. The restaurant is half full! We noticed there were always long queue at outside of the restaurant and that’s why we came early :)
Most of the sushi 🍣 were cooked and not so many raw material on the belt. This is good, as raw material need to be consume within short period of time and they must be chilled with ice pack. On the belt there were around 100-120 sushi, if group the the same sushi, we get around 20 types of sushi 🍱
As we were one of the earliest customers, all sushi were freshly prepared in front of us. And we can tell their business during weekend is very very good by looking at the numbers of sushi they have prepared at the counter!

Read moreThis dining experience was a mix of highs and lows. Had two plates of fried salmon, which were quite oily, one unagi and cold "soggy" soba buckwheat and a jug of tea. The place was full, making the atmosphere lively but a bit chaotic. Notable, the lady sitting next table from me was heard telling off the staff for non arriving of their ordered food and appeared angry.

Second, their miso soup got a lot of seaweed and tofu, they're quite generous, unlike other more expensive sushi restaurants out there, sikit sikit only.
