Definitely a good place for your meals. I ordered the nasi lemak chicken meat, which was really good; the chicken was both crispy and tender. We also ordered kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs. Although the kaya toast was smaller compared to most other restaurants, the price made up for it. The asam laksa was excellent; the soup was creamy with a well-balanced mix of spicy and tangy flavors. We also had coffee, and they offer it in both small and large glasses. Overall, we were very satisfied with the meal. It felt like redemption after back-to-back poor meals the day before.
Price wise, everything was affordable, and the service was fast and friendly. One of the staff asked if we don’t mind pork in our dish; when we said that we don’t eat pork, the waiter quickly returned to the kitchen, showing how much they value their customers and speed of service.
Parking can get busy, though. We had our car washed at a nearby car wash, hence we left the car there (the car wash service was good too- great value for money with fast, attentive service) and then walked to the restaurant.
This is the kind of business that deserves strong support - good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and...
Read moreThe coffee served at Tai Hong Kopitiam is simply delicious, with a rich and full-bodied flavor that is hard to find anywhere else. They use traditional methods to brew their coffee, and the result is a smooth and satisfying cup of joe that is perfect for any time of day.
One of the highlights of Tai Hong Kopitiam for me was the food. They offer a wide range of classic Malaysian dishes, such as nasi lemak, kaya toast, and mee siam, which are all made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the nasi lemak, which was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with their flavorful sambal sauce.
The service at Tai Hong Kopitiam was also exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to offer recommendations based on my preferences.
Overall, Tai Hong Kopitiam is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a true taste of traditional Malaysian cuisine and culture. The coffee and food are both exceptional, and the charming atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal or cup of coffee. Highly...
Read moreFirst visit to this branch. Will definitely not be my last. Enjoyed the curry laksa and nasi lemak ayam goreng here. The sambal that came along with the dishes were fantastic too. They also have a section of self-service yong tau foo ingredients which you can add to your dishes. Check out the video posted of the ingredients, includes beancurd skin, chillis, tau pok and even ayam goreng. Drinks were not bad too, cham ice quite fragrant while the milo is thick and not diluted.
Update. Revisited and had chee cheong fun, mix yong tau foo, kolo mee and ice coffee. Like the dishes. Kolo mee is not bad but unfortunately the spicy comes from separate chillis provided and not cooked together with the noodles.
Update. Revisit, ordered kolo mee, kaya butter steamed bread, tuna croissant, half-boiled eggs and cham ice. Bread and croissant were good. I love how the soft boiled egg are...
