Dash Beach Club — Restaurant in Kedah

Went to the beach restaurant last week for some sandwiches and drinks.But unfortunately i was treated like a ball.having to go from staff to staff to order a drink! And in the end I went to the bartenders to take my order politely but they refused to take my drink orders with an excuse of the system is down and all waiters had gone for their break time .what kind of reason is that? I've been working in hospitality more than 8 years and that is a silly excuse.so,I've decided to take a walk by the beach and come back later after all the waiters come back at 6pm.Went back to the restaurant and waving here and there but all waiters were too busy ignoring our body gesture and we decided to sit at the sofa.The staffs there were not even bordered to ask whether we need any drinks or a just simple "anything I can assist you" question. 7.17pm,after 1 hour plus of waiting there ,a staff came and asked us ," are you the hotel guest or outsiders?,if outsiders have to order".We replied ,yes we are outsiders and we've been waiting an hour to get the staffs attention.She left without apologizing and came another staff with a menu and food and drinks came on time.Its really disappointing to have such a beautiful place but a lousy service.especially how they treat the outsiders and locals.We are working in the island and want to spend money to new places around the island but it's such pitiful to have untrained staffs to handle a simple situation.so much improvement need to be done.Hope the management can look into this...

We have been travelling for the last couple of months and Dash Beach Resort is by far the best value. Worth every penny. We had trouble with another hotel we booked and then we booked to Dash for 3 nights. From the moment we walked into reception abnd were greeted with a welcome drink and a smiley face we knew we'd made the right decision. The staff are ALL so friendly and work really hard to make your stay the best it can be. Alice in Wonderland theme throughout. (Ill share some photos.)The breakfast is so good, so much variety and even glasses of fizz, which was a welcome treat. Right on the beach, amazing glass sided pool that overlooking the white sand. Loads of watersports available too. Swim up bar that serves great cocktails and food. (Beach club prices though, so be prepared to pay a bit more). Also, they have music and DJ on every day till 12pm so if you don't like music by the pool, that's worth noting. We loved it so much we booked 2 extra nights. Leaving...

Service crew was incredible and the atmosphere was great . Was having a great night until the so call “manager”(white hat red shirt ) of the bar who was really unprofessional appeared. There was nothing so chaotic happening but the approach of manager to handle to loudness of the scene was extremely rude and unacceptable. Knowing he is a bar manager dude had zero professionalism and no knowledge in hospitality. It was really disappointing to see such a great beach resort with people with no experience in hospitality trying to manage it . I really hope the management takes action on this “manager” who was busy flirting with a foreigner trying to show he is a the boss of bar .
