We (my wife and i ) visited this place during our holiday in Langkawi. Over hyped place. They get you in, sit you on a table then forget about you. When after multiple reminders they take your order. Veggie fried rice for my wife. Steamed Fish in lime and chilli, Spinach in garlic and balachan and plain rice. The sequence of delivery was nearly after 30 minutes the Veggie fried rice comes (not hot...gone cold)..which my wife finished as it was already cool and waiting for my order would mean more cold rice. Next to be delivered was the Spinach after 10 minutes ( by then my wife had finished her dinner)....the spinachq was good and warm, I started on this without rice. Next to come after a few reminders was the steamed Fish..looked good and I just wanted to eat something....now a processions of special guests arrived and all service was directed to them...( I am still waiting for my rice...on asking for the status we are being questioned...are you sure you have ordered Rice? 🙄)....now in the restaurant nearly 4 tables walked out...fed up of waiting. My rice is still not there and my Fish and Veggie are getting cold. I was tempted to walk out but my wife decided to talk to someone who MAY know what was happening. Pronto the rice is there. What a mess.. Even if the food is well prepared, it going cold is unforgivable. I would request any one tempted to visit this outlet to think twice....it will ruin your evening...

Visited in December 2024, two people having dinner: we had a mixed experience regarding the food. Particularly the fish was small and expensive. Compared to other places and compared to similar food, we think It’s a bit overpriced, so not good value for money. Good and fast service though!

Food: We tried the squid, stir fried ginger onion as a starter. Freshly prepared and very yummy!

As a main course we ordered the grouper - Telaga Special Style. The fish was 600g before cooking. Once it was served we had not more than 100 - 150g of fish to eat. A bit of a joke, either parts of the fish were lost during deep frying or served on a different plate 😂. While the value of 16RM/g (total 96RM for 600g fresh grouper) is ok, only having less than 150g to eat is not acceptable for 96RM. I have added some picture though they don’t reveal how little fish was eatable, covered by the sauce. The restaurant was busy so we skipped complaining. The sauce accompanying the fish was nice. We have eaten good fish all around the Island for cheaper price and same quality.

As side dishes we order Kailan garlic and plain rice, vegetables were nicely spiced.

Service: Good and fast service

Atmosphere: Seating area in the back is nice. We were sitting near the entrance, a bit and it’s not very comfortable. If you are offered a seat there maybe better skip it.

Pricing: Based on our experience no good...

I had dinner here last night and the experience was truly unforgettable, thanks to the outstanding service from Faroque (apologies if I got the spelling wrong).

From the start, he went above and beyond — personally helping me select a beautiful spiny lobster from the tank. He made the moment fun by assisting me with photos and even a short video, capturing the memory perfectly.

What made this lobster experience stand out was his suggestion to try it with a spicy seasoning. I’ve had lobster before, but the way it was prepared here gave it a completely new and exciting flavor that I had never experienced. Before cooking, the lobster was brought to our table for us to admire, which my friends really enjoyed.

The highlight came when I thought I had finished my lobster. Faroque came over and kindly showed me how to find the hidden meat in the head, breaking the shell and serving the extra meat to me personally. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the whole evening special.

The food itself was excellent, but what truly made the night memorable was the fantastic customer service. Thanks to Faroque’s warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care, this was not just a dinner — it was an experience.

I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Faroque, you’ll be in for a...

Overall, my recent dining experience at Telaga Seafood in Langkawi was a mixed bag. We indulged in a feast after an adventurous day of water sports, ordering quite a spread. The Tom Yam Chicken was a hit, with a generous portion and delightful flavor, perfect for concluding the day. The Salted Egg Crab fell short of expectations for my wife, who's an experienced crab enthusiast; the small crabs offered little meat, leaving it just satisfactory. The Kailan with Oyster Sauce was decent but unremarkable. Disappointment struck with the Tiger Prawns; despite their steep price, they lacked tenderness and freshness. However, the Tempura Squid saved the day, stealing the spotlight with its generous serving, flavorful taste, and impeccable pairing with sweet chili sauce. The Local Fried Rice stood out as a delicious and budget-friendly option. We encountered a hiccup with the fresh coconut, as the first one was sour, and the replacement wasn't much better—a smaller coconut with insufficient contents. The ambiance, however, was delightful, complemented by live music. The staff, although sometimes challenging to flag down due to the bustling environment, remained pleasant and helpful, contributing to an overall satisfactory dining experience.
