Pakistani restaurant — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

The food was average i didnt like how i was forced to write a positive review before i left whilst i was sat at my table trying to relax it was pretty uncomfortable as a female with loads of asian men sat in the corner watching me come in & walk out and felt alot of them stare for quite some time having the owner towering over me for a review it was all very scary when i went there! its really frustrating holding my phone in 1 hand to use the torch to see the food am eating and eating with the other hand everytime i ordered it felt more like a convenience for them extremely very sensative to criticism just overall not a great experience its put me off nobody should be forced to write a false review the guy said he wont leave my table until i dont give a positive review right there and then it was just really really uncomfortable then blaming me that he had a big loss & that maybe its me that couldnt see the menu because it was dark i had to point out their own mistake the overall stress was shocking wont be going again after writing this review i got a false response underneath from the restaurant just to clarify that my meal was changed once due to no salt in my curry the first time i was bought another meal to the table i didnt order which was completely different to what it specified on the menu they tried blaming it on me but i showed the menu and proof then the guy took it back being tricked into spending more money than the menu actually said of what i had ordered the bill came to 45 malaysian ringit i was discounted 5 ringit & had a guy towering over my head telling me to write a positive review & that i should be greatful he discounted me the £5 is not even enough to buy a toilet role the guy acted like he's done something big & the question is i went 3 times & that i must be satisfied thats why well no first time u doused my burger in a full bottle of ketchup second time i went because it was on the beach & i was tired hungry & had been active all day on that day the order was good so i came back the 3rd time a day before my flight out of there to have a nice meal only to be having to deal with all of this that i have explained above so no am not satisfied i just chose to give u the benifit of the doubt & finally when u ask someone how they days been & what they been doing for them to say they did some jogging on the beach & laugh in their face & mock them for it is disgusting....I luckily was recording at the time that video has got over 500K views on tiktok & people find you disgusting for that congrats i wont be responding or editing the comment further to but my word in with what ever ur saying the preditory behaviour has got to stop with women & the pressure for a positive review we have the right to decide what we want to write we dont need a man towering over us telling us he wont leave the table till we dont do that its the worst experience...

Wasn’t going to write a review on this place as I gave my feedback to the owner already, but now we have both gotten sick since eating here.

I have no idea how this restaurant has such good reviews. I can only assume they are fake.

Every single dish we ate had so much salt in that it was inedible (and we usually like salty food!). We quietly told the waiter and they agreed they would remake it with less salt.

The replacement dishes came out after 20, 25 and the final dish still hadn’t come out after 40 minutes. The replacement dishes looked completely different to the first ones we’d ordered and were still salty (although not as salty and were now incredibly oily).

We asked to cancel the final replacement dish coming out as it had been too long (and we still didn’t like the food) and the waiter who had been lovely so far got stroppy and basically didn’t check on us for the rest of the night.

When paying the owner asked me for feedback and I was honest about how disappointed we were with the food. I explained that the replacement dishes were different and he tried to mansplain the difference between a lentil and a pea which had no relevance to the point I was making. He was kind and took most of the feedback but I just really do not believe the reviews on google and now seeing how many people are being asked to leave a review it’s a bit fishy to me.

We were ill after leaving, presumably from all of the oil used in dishes or poor handling of food and I continue to be ill today. Shame as that was our last night in Langkawi and really wish we would have enjoyed it...

For whatever reason this place has two accounts, so two reviews from me.

Just come away seething from this place, firstly the food was okay not the greatest by any means as it was just the same standard as a posh ready meal however I'm not one to make complaints directly to the restaurant but having had my dinner sat there for 15 mins prior before my naan may have arrived I got up and cancelled the naan order. My partner had no sign of her dish being brought to her and took it up a notch and asked for her entire order to be cancelled minus the sprite as after over 20 mins after my food came, her order was nowhere to be seen. After a very tense argument she walked away very angry as they didn't discount my naan order and charged for the entire order and insisted on it being delivered to the table but my partner declined and reluctantly had a very oily (Ochara) Bhendi Massala takeaway and I ended up tasting my naan that subsequently arrived in spite of my cancellation and I only managed half as I tried it out of curiosity. Both of us couldn't stand the naan breads. I've had hundreds and hundreds of curries throughout the world and this was my worst experience ever even if I'd had worse food as the service left us extremely disappointed and upset with the unapologetic staff. It's a real shame as I hate to write about somewhere like this as it was a beautiful setting and the whole situation could have easily been avoided or at least somewhat put right....
