One of the best places in Klang for a proper Indian lunch! Archana Curry House has been my regular spot since my office is nearby, super convenient and always satisfying. The food here really hits the spot, especially the chicken curry, very thick, flavorful, and got that real authentic Chettinad style. Every time I makan here, confirm different-different lauk also… so got variety and never boring.
Another dish I really enjoy is their chicken varuval, full of spice, dry style, really kaw. And their Chicken 65 also sedap, crispy, spicy, perfect with rice or even makan just like that. The food always feels fresh and clean, and the portion also quite generous for the price.
Staff here are very friendly, always greet with a smile, and service is fast. The environment is simple but clean, and you can see they take care of the place well. Price also very reasonable, can get a good meal without burning your wallet.
Only thing is, parking can be a bit susah during weekends or peak lunch hour. But usually I park at the Chettiar Temple behind or near the stadium, then just walk in. If weekdays, parking quite okay.
If you’re in Klang town, whether working, shopping, or just lepak, this is a great place to stop for lunch. Solid food, friendly people, and feels like home-cooked meals with that spicy South Indian kick.
Highly recommend if you love Chettinad-style food or just want something satisfying...
Read moreI bought 3 meals from this shop today for lunch. all vegetarian and I felt so unhappy eating it. I feel cheated and disappointed with the food. Ask your cook to taste his food 1st before he sends it out for customers to eat and as the owner you are responsible for tasting the food before selling it to the customer. 1stly there was no salt on any of the food, the rice was sticky as if it was overcooked ( kollanjiporan). All the vegetables plus curry didn't have any taste, all tasted blend. how can you be so careless when cooking. taste is the main thing about food. next time be more vigilant in running a restaurant, You're taking customers' money . Food is about the heart and soul, it needs to be there when it comes to food. feel disappointed with the food. please look into your cooks so next time customers don't feel cheated eating...
Read moreThis is the sort of old skool Southern Indian eatery I frequented during my childhood school days. Located just a stone's throw from the OLL Catholic church and Convent School down the street, Archana Curry House has been a long mainstay and landmark around this area for the regulars coming around this area for shopping.
Best to drop in around eleven before the lunch crowd descends upon the eatery, of which it may take time to get a table or order something from the kitchen here. The curries here are just glorious, rich in flavour and depth from the Indian sourced spices and curry pastes used. You can taste the authenticity from the first bite. The chapatti breads here are so fluffy and flavourful. The dosai is equally delightful as well. Highly recommended just for the experience of a curry...
