Annapurna Restaurant, unfortunately, has received mixed reviews, with some customers expressing dissatisfaction with both the food and the atmosphere.
Food: The food at Annapurna has been described by some diners as lacking in authenticity and flavor. While it offers a variety of Indian and South Asian dishes, there are reports of inconsistent taste, with some dishes being too bland or over-spiced. Some customers have noted that the quality of ingredients and preparation could be improved, as certain dishes failed to meet expectations of traditional flavors.
Ambience: The atmosphere of the restaurant has also been a point of concern. The setting has been described as basic and in need of modernization, with decor that feels outdated and not particularly inviting. The ambiance doesn’t create the cozy or vibrant atmosphere that many customers might expect from an Indian restaurant.
In summary, Annapurna Restaurant may not meet the expectations for those seeking a top-tier dining experience. The food and ambiance might need improvement for it to become a standout choice in the area. However, some guests may still appreciate it for more casual,...
Read moreAnnapuurnam Chettinad Restaurant offers an average dining experience with nothing exceptional in terms of flavor, yet the pricing raises concerns maybe due to location(still too pricy).
Food & Pricing: The food I ordered included tea or coffee, roti (RM3), a normal portion of mutton (RM15), a fish and vegetable meal (RM15), and hot coffee (RM6), along with a few other items. However, I couldn’t recall the exact pricing for the rest since it wasn’t properly indicated. When I received the bill, the total came to RM56.80 without an itemized breakdown, making it unclear how the charges were calculated. This lack of transparency in the billing system feels suspicious and needs improvement. Customers should insist on a detailed receipt to ensure clarity and avoid any potential overcharging.
Concern: The main concern here is the lack of billing transparency, which raises questions about potential overcharging. Without an itemized receipt, customers have no way of verifying whether they are being charged correctly for what...
Read moreSo, this is now my go to thosai place in the Bangsar area. Yes, there are a few around but you got to give this resto a visit. When I come here, its always thosai / dosa ghee with egg and they do it very well. But, one day, i just wanted house style and they delivered! The thicker version was so good and it soaks up the chutney, dhall and meena curry! When I was there as well, it looked like the nasi lemak in those triangle / tiga segi shape was a hit as well. Gotta try them next time. Some other props to them is that their dishes are out pretty early and you can get your varuvals and fried stuff early before 9am I reckon. Good to note that they have masala vadais too. The owner is friendly to boot and it's clear it is a neighbourhood joint. Cons : Thosai stops at 11a.m :( a sad thing for...
