Absolutely horrible. I used to come to this restaurant before covid and it used to be good. Now it is just terrible. I’d give it zero stars if I could.
The restaurant itself smells like pungent urine, clearly coming from the unsanitary toilet. The minute you walk in the restaurant there is no avoiding the smell, no matter how far away from the toilet you sit.
They served me rotten watermelon juice, the taste was bitter and the watermelon used was clearly spoilt. Even the colour was off.
The butter chicken was lousy and did not taste like butter chicken. The cheese naan is the laziest version of cheese naan in the world where they just grate cheese over naan that isn’t even hot so it barely even melts.
They also do not have half the desserts that are displayed on their menu.
Didn’t think it could get worse? When we were paying we had to wait at the counter for over five minutes, and we were the only customers at the counter. We could clearly see all the staff in the kitchen having a wonderful time talking to each other but nobody bothered attending to us.
This was the worst experience I’ve had at this restaurant and I will never be...
Read moreCame across this Indian restaurant. Seemed authentic and good. Checked reviews and came to dine here.
Palak Paneer, 7/10: It was really savory and the cheese was delicious. Goes well with any carbs like naan or poori.
Mutton Biryani, 6/10: This was average to us. Good portion of mutton and biryani. However, the rice was very clumpy and wet compared to the other places we were used to. They provided onion yoghurt and another sauce to pair with. Good pairing !
Fried onion, 8/10: Filled with spices and onions were sweet and crispy.
Half tandoori chicken, 7.5/10. Good portion and char but the inside was a bit dry and flavors did not penetrate enough. With that said, the mint sauce it came with was chefs kiss.
Poori, 7.5/10. Crispy and savory poori.
Garlic naan, 8/10: Delicous and garlicky. Naan wasn’t as fluffy as we would like it. A bit more dense.
Mango lassi, 8/10: So so good. Sour from the yoghurt and fragrant mango taste. However Abit too sweet for us. Could do with 50% lesser sugar.
Total bill came to about RM80. The meal could feed 3-4 pax. Overall good food and portion size. Would...
Read moreSomehow the food is quite disappointing after dine-in is allowed post MCO. Ordered garlic cheese naan, tasted like plain naan. Almost called the waiter to tell him that wrong food was served. Then, when I looked very very very closely, found few tiny pieces of cheese and some garlic. For the price that we are paying, I was expecting them to a bit more generous on the ingredients.
The mutton curry is ok, spicy which is good but the mutton pieces is a bit small. You need to really dig a little to find the meat in the curry.
The chicken tandoori was a bit sour. Maybe a tad too much of lime or lemon. But overall it is average.
The food served quite slow, kopi'o came more than half an hour later after all food is served. My expectation was drinks can easily come first while waiting for the main meal.
Having said that, this restaurant is clean, nice ambience and there is a lot of variety in the menu. Will definitely give it another try and looking forward for improvements in service and...
