Dinner at Aposto last night was amazing. I had the pleasure of being attended to by Kim and Sara (I hope I got their names right).
First off, I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The space wasn’t too crowded, with a limited number of tables that made it feel somewhat intimate (perfect date spot by the way). I found the design of the restaurant to be rather charming.
For starters, my partner and I order the Buratta and Saba On Toast. Both dishes exceeded expectations. The flavors were beautifully balanced, and the sauce accompanying the saba fish was absolutely magical.
For our mains, we chose the 9-day aged duck breast and the braised duck tagliatelle. The duck breast was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. What stood out was that they didn’t use the usual smoked duck breast, which many other places do, allowing the true flavors of the duck to shine. The bold flavors of the tagliatelle paired beautifully with our wine.
To top off the meal, we had the tiramisu for dessert. It was absolutely fantastic—perfectly balanced in flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness and richness. The presentation was truly a work of art, and most importantly, it tasted as good as it looked. Honestly, the best tiramisu I've had in quite some time.
But the one thing that really sealed the deal for me about Aposto was their practice of changing cutleries and plates after every course. It’s such a small touch, but it really elevated the whole dining experience and added to the overall sense of luxury in my opinion. It just made the meal feel extra special.
Although the prices are on the pricier side, I truly felt it was well worth it. Considering the high quality of the food, the impeccable service, and the overall experience, it felt like great value. It wasn’t just about the meal, it was about the entire experience, and that, to me, made the cost feel...

From the first bite to the last, my dining experience at Aposto was nothing short of exquisite. It's rare to find a culinary establishment where everything feels so meticulously curated to offer an unforgettable gastronomic journey. Aposto truly hits the spot!
Dishes: The dishes at Aposto are a testament to quality and thoughtful preparation. The flavour balance in each dish strikes the right note, suggesting a keen understanding of how ingredients work together. With a mix of both fresh and imported ingredients, it's evident that they prioritise quality in their sourcing.
Drinks: I sampled the 'lychee something something', and it was absolutely magical. The intriguing name piqued my curiosity, and the drink lived up to the mystery. Such a gorgeous balance of sweet and sour! I am keen to return and explore more of their liquid creations.
Dessert: The tiramisu at Aposto is a dessert lover's dream. The exterior had a delightful crunch, which contrasted well with the rich, creamy mascarpone. The liqueur-soaked cake added moisture and depth, and the espresso meringue on top was the perfect finishing touch. It's evident that a lot of thought has gone into perfecting this dessert. This was probably one of the best tiramisu I've ever had!
Service: The wonderful culinary delights were matched, if not exceeded, by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Special mentions to the talented chef and our wonderful server, Evangeline, who added that extra touch of magic to our evening. They ensured that our experience was not just about the food, but also about the ambiance, the service, and the overall vibe.
In conclusion, Aposto is a must-visit. Whether you're a food connoisseur or just someone looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this place won't disappoint. I eagerly await...

I recently had the 7-course sharing style menu created by Chef Chu Wei Sin, who has extensive experience working in the culinary world for many years. Now opening and helming his own restaurant along the famous watering hole area in TTDI, Aposto (which means it's all good) has received many good reviews even from my circle of foodie friends.
So they have created an exploration menu on top of their a la carte, saving the hassle to think on what to eat.
Four dishes to start (fixed) ◾Beetroot tartare - braised beetroot, whipped feta & walnuts. Earthy, savoury and crunchy at the same time. ◾Scallop Crudo - Hokkaido scallop carpaccio, pickled jalapenos, basil seed and tamarind dressing. ◾Calamari Panzanella - fresh squid, heirloom tomatoes, croutons and herb salad. ◾White Corn Ravioli - gorgonzola cream, sweet paprika & popcorn.
Mains (choose 2) ◾Chargrilled Barramundi Fillet with preserved lemon butter sauce, dill oil, fennel & pea salad. ◾Pan seared lamb rump with parsnip puree & cherry jus - not sure of the default doneness, but I think that I got medium rare. Prefer medium doneness though..
To Finish ◾Pistachio cake with pistachio butter, ice cream & touille
Note: Overall we like the ambience of the restaurant, as well as overall interior. Service was attentive as expected from a restaurant of this pedigree.
My verdict:
