Today, I had the pleasure of partaking in a Chinese New Year celebration brimming with delectable dishes, cherished traditions and the company of five beautiful friends. Among the highlights of the event was the Prosperity Toss, a spirited ritual symbolizing abundance and good fortune for the year ahead.
As we gathered around the table, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation. With chopsticks in hand, we eagerly participated in the Prosperity Toss, each ingredient representing a different facet of prosperity. The vibrant colours of the ingredients cascading through the air mirrored the joy and optimism in our hearts.
In addition to the Prosperity Toss, the celebration featured an impressive array of culinary delights. From the savoury sweetness of Ginger Beef to the comforting richness of Creamy Butter Chicken, each dish was a testament to the diverse flavours of Chinese cuisine. Sambal Prawn with Petai added a spicy kick, while Nyonya Steamed Garoupa delighted with its delicate flavours. Chinese Fried Rice and Prosperity Noodles rounded out the feast, offering a satisfying balance of textures and aromas. The delightful addition of Yam Basket provided a crispy and savory delight, while the Cencaluk Omelette contributed a unique and flavourful twist to the meal, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the celebration.
The combination of delicious food, cherished traditions and the company of five beautiful friends made for an unforgettable celebration. It was a reminder of the importance of coming together with loved ones to share in the joys of the new year. As I reflect on the experience, I am filled with gratitude for the abundance in my life and a renewed sense of hope...

The food is consistently great, and the ambience of the place has truly improved (since my last visit), with warm lighting, and possibly new decor.
Anyone going there now can feel confident enough to proceed with a marriage proposal, unlike before, where its dull white lights seemed more suited for meetings with Ah Longs, and counting the money that you are about to borrow from them.
Parking is a bit tricky BUT that has always been the case with anywhere in TTDI, where the municipal council had oddly envisaged that there would only be a maximum of just 15 families with 4 eateries, principally, to cater for the 3 major ethnic groups in Malaysia, and as for the 4th, to cater for that one perpetual snowflake in every family who always insists on eating expensive Mat Salleh food.
As an alternative, you can try to park near the residential area which is about a 5 minute walk away, though you do need to go through a Nepalese guard whose astute sense of security could readily sense that you are not there to visit some newfound uncle, but as a conduit for eatery convenience.
Finally, a special acknowledgment to all the staff there, especially to YUKI, who was always most cheerful attending to your every culinary need (within the menu of course), BUT to be clear, she is not into giving small loans, that remains with the Ah Longs.
Seriously looking forward to going there again.

We were organizing a Chinese New Year dinner session for our company, BrioHR. (Malaysia Online Payroll System — Automate HR tasks, engage your employees, unlock their productivity)
The food was truly delightful. Every dish was prepared with care, showcasing fresh and high-quality ingredients. The seafood, in particular, was impeccably fresh, adding a delicious touch to our meal. The portions were generous, leaving us feeling fully satisfied.
What truly stood out was the impeccable service we received. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They expertly arranged the flow and sequence of dishes, ensuring each course was served at the optimal time. I must commend the manager, Yuki, whose exceptional service attitude made our evening even more enjoyable. Throughout the meal, Yuki checked in on us regularly, ensuring our needs were met, and even anticipated our needs before we had to ask. Her proactive and attentive approach truly enhanced our dining experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend Chopstick Asia @ TTDI highly enough. From the delicious food to the outstanding service, every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be returning soon for another memorable...
