Tried 1Nasi lemak - soft, fluffy and very fragrant with santan . Good 2. Sambal - Sambal is not too sweet and slightly on the spicy side. Sambal looks like it has been cooked for a long while and therefore,,the thick dark red colour and the oil. I like! 3. Ayam goreng berempah- not a fan of ayam goreng but the ayam goreng here is tender and richly coated with spices . Another winner 4 sambal sotong- a bit diluted and i think the sambal was a bit burnt. The sambal sotong too is not too sweet 5 paru goreng- for someone who does not take innards, i think the paru’s great . Couldn’t taste the gameyness of the paru as it was deep fried and then coated with sambal. 6 kangkung - the kangkung failed miserably . It was limp and soggy . I was hoping for crunchy kangkung to go with the sambal. It was a letdown 7 Service - not very friendly staff . From the ones who served to the cashier. It will not cost you anything just to smile

Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu is currently a popular spot in town, with plenty of food bloggers and tourists raving about it. I decided to check it out. The restaurant operates on a self-service basis, where you line up to place your order and pick up your food yourself. Seating is limited at this branch, so it’s best to secure a table before ordering, or you might end up waiting a while with your nasi lemak in hand. Their signature dish is the nasi lemak with ayam goreng berempah. I loved the sambal—it’s spicy with a hint of sweetness. However, the ayam goreng berempah was a bit disappointing; it was served cold, and the flavor hadn’t fully absorbed into the chicken, possibly due to insufficient marination. The rice also lacked the rich taste of coconut milk. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by their Teh Tarik—one of the best I’ve had. Overall, try to come early to find parking and secure a seat.

The place to go for Nasi Lemak at the moment. Huge hype about this restaurant so I went to try. The rice is pretty fragrant but could be better. The good thing is there is a fried egg, kangkung, anchovies n peanuts are crispy really good. The sambal is ok but a tad too sweet for me. Some may like it. That's about it. The famous raves about fried chicken looks good but once you sink your teeth in it, there is not much taste probably marinated for too short a time n the herbs has not sunk in. It is too dry and overcooked. About Rm15? The beef rendang is tough n chewy ie. Not cooked long enough maybe to save on gas. For an all in price of rm17? is really not worth it. Many roadside nasi Lemak makes better beef rendang. Will I go back? Only if I'm in the vicinity during off peak period when I can get a carpark I may drop by again. Won't drive all the way for this Nasi Lemak. It doesn't give me the oomph.

I had an amazing experience here! The Nasi Lemak is absolutely perfect—fragrant coconut rice, a sambal that balances sweetness and spiciness beautifully, and all the classic sides that make it authentic and delicious. The highlight for me was the ayam goreng (fried chicken). It's simply too good—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor.

Even though there was a long queue, the service was impressively fast, so you don’t have to wait long to enjoy your meal. They clearly know how to manage the crowd without compromising on quality.

The drinks here are also fantastic! I highly recommend trying the teh ais, which is smooth and refreshing, and the bandung, a sweet and creamy delight. Both pair wonderfully with the meal and make the whole experience even more satisfying.

If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, efficient service, and great drinks, this is it! I’ll definitely...
