I really enjoyed the food here. They're simply fantastic! I started with the mushroom soup and I was surprised, also at awe after the first lovely taste of fresh button mushroom, portobello and beef stock, just imagine the infusion of beef broth into mushroom just created wonder! Simple, fresh ingredients make up the most flavourful appetiser. I was at awe because I always order mushroom soups for appetisers and mostly will end up with soups with lots of seasoning and less mushroom bits, but here with an affordable price, you won't be disappointed as in each slurp you'll taste the extra mushroom bits you've been searching for your whole life! My main course was the Australian lamb shank. I was given plenty of gravy so I could mop it up with the slices crunchy on the outside, fragrant garlic bread (you know it's fresh bread as it's very soft on the inside, I got these for the mushroom soup too so I was busy doing the mopping up the soup and gravy that day, yeah). Hidden beneath the fall off the bone meat (which the way this dish should absolutely be, I'm glad) and lovely, thick gravy was the gem of creamy, buttery, velvery mashed potato. So the experience was amazing, lovely, I was like enjoying a hearty homemade meal of course. If I were to recommend to the world, please try the food here. With affordable prices, you could enjoy gourmet food with really fast service. The staffs are friendly too and they're always alert to assist you, and bonus point - there's a surau (prayer room) too so you don't have to be worried of staying for a long time and minding the prayer time. And if you're a fan of mint, do order the raspberry (something) can't remember the name of the beverage but you can refer to the photo I shared, it's minty and tart and sweet and refreshing and it's too pretty to see and drink but I did take a sip then a lot more. This place offers such aesthetically pleasing food and drink with their presentation too. 5...
Read moreHeard really good reviews about this place and decided to try it last Friday. Ordered baked potatoes, lamb ribs, sticky ribs and a couple of the mocktails. Must say food was delicious, portions just nice and drinks really capped the meal.
What was not so good though was the atmosphere. It was a full house with one big family made up more than 20 people celebrating someone's birthday. This Malay family had their kids running up and down in the restaurant, screaming at the top of their lungs, hitting my elbow as they passed, standing next to my son pointing at his food and shouting. All the while the parents ignored their brats. I tried to be understanding and continued eating without making a fuss.
When the cake finally came, thats when the family' attitude literally took the cake. The parents finally got up, grabbed their kids so they can have a family photo and bumped into me a couple of times. Not only did they not observe social distancing not a single member of the family apologised for crowding at my side of the table so much so i had to move my chair away so that i don't have the parent's butts in my face. By that time I had enough and asked for my food to be packed to go.
Food may be delicious but this restaurant needs to review their social distancing SOPs. Having an entire family have dinner there is fine if you are willing to close the restaurant just for them or have the decency to ask them to observe the SOPs for the sake of other diners. Why should other diners be inconvenienced by one family who clearly has no respect for your other diners?
Restaurant told me of some upcoming promotions as I signed my bill, but told them I doubt would be coming back. Good food is not worth it if you can't be sure of a safe...
Read moreWe visited this quaint little restaurant around 5:15 pm, it wasn’t busy at all and the ambience was great!
It’s family owned and service was fairly fast 💗 Moving on to the food, I can say me and my partner enjoyed everything we had :D Starting with the carbonara: Perfectly executed, mild, perfectly cooked pasta with a generous amount of beef strips.
The pulled beef sandwich didn’t disappoint either! The strips of beef were tender and when sandwiched between toasted garlic buns, it tasted phenomenal. The fries it came with were covered in a spicy seasoning and added the right amount of crunch to the overall meal
Unfortunately, by this point, we were incredibly full so we couldn’t try the ribs, but the plating looked wonderful as you can tell 💗
Lastly on things we ate, and possibly the star of the show: the crème brûlée ⭐️ Beautiful to look at, a delight to the taste buds! The custard was mild and when combined with the crisp burnt sugar top, it was absolutely divine I’d definitely reccomend getting it to end your meal ⭐️💗
The iced Belgium chocolate may not be for everyone, but I personally enjoyed how rich it tasted. My partner mentioned that the raspberry virgin mojito was a little too strong on the raspberry flavor; He enjoys his mojitos a little more on the dry and minty side.
All in all, I loved our little date here and I’d definitely recommend you come here on your own...
