Today...my husband and I came here for the second time. The first time was last December with my son joined in.
The first visit...I can say...was enjoyable bcos the food we ordered made us believe that we can definitely revisit this place again. Being Indian and coming from food business background, I know the quality of food served.
On our first visit, we ordered biryani, white rice and some chicken and mutton dishes. Though the taste was okay, but quantity was way too little for the price. If the quantity is small, it doesn't matter but we hardly get to enjoy chicken pieces as it was served in bits and pieces. Mutton was cut into tiny bits and covered with masala. Yet because of the taste which was acceptable, no complaints.
Today, we faced a horrible experience. We ordered nasi lemak with masala chicken (rm7.90) separately as a side dish.
The nasi lemak was cold. We cannot even see any decent pieces of chicken. All we can see was the masala covering those tiny bits and pieces of chicken. And the worse part is the masala wasn't cooked well. It has caused burning sensation in our stomachs which lasted for some time. The anchovies were super hard to chew.
When I looked around, 90% of the customers were Chinese. What do they know about the quality of Indian food. They just come to satisfy their spicy pallets for Indian food without having the knowledge how the Indian food should taste like.
I am sure if more Indian families were to visit this place, there definitely will be more negative reviews posted.
I really hope that someone will train the cook concerned so that Bananabro will serve quality food. I don't blame the cook as he was juggling a few orders at one time. And he may not have proper knowledge on preparing Indian food, especially on how to prepare the spices bcos wrong preparation can lead to serious stomach problems.
The server, one of them doesn't even bother to know whether certain food has finished after customers placed their orders and seated. Later causing the customers to leave in anger.
But I noticed the Indian girl which I observed on the very first day we came, she was very hospitable and willing to take her time to explain the food being on promotion or explained in length things that are not understood by customers.
I hope all the servers will be taught on how to provide customer service and satisfaction just like how this Indian girl has projected herself. Even today, I just felt like going back to that particular girl for my queries rather than the other two guys who seems to have limited knowledge on what's being sold or served there.

Staff can’t even speak English or Malay. They had to call an Indian girl to come attend to us.
Main turn off was the mama chicken. They provided us with only the wing end bone piece. Drumstick end bone which is meatless in those area. Every piece of it. Told them to change and mix it around and they came back with the same thing. Then they claim it’s their standard. Ok. If it’s your standard for RM7.90 then your standard for review is 1 star. Nothing more. Even though the rest of the food was quite acceptable. Would have given 3-4 stars. But unfortunately the reply for chicken spare parts being standard is not acceptable.
I know many places gives small mixed pieces but not end bones which has the least meat. The rempah chicken has mixed pieces of ribs and breast meat. What’s the difference? End up they went and changed it and fried new ones and this time they had proper meat.
If you’re lazy to fry, then don’t sell the dish. Charge 7.90 for that was unacceptable standard. Unfortunately didn’t manage to get a picture taken as was eating with hands.
Please look into these and make some improvements please.
And since I cannot accept the dish and told them to cancel it they said cannot cancel. That’s even worse. It’s ready made and all kept in container and you say cannot cancel. That’s weird.

I told her dont shout but speak I will understand better.She kept saying that I dont understand which make me mad and I decided to just leave after raising my voice at her.I warned her to not shouting and this makes me change the Bananabro Leisure Mall rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. After that, I called up the supervisor named Thivya and advised her to give Janane a customer service training but it seem that she is supporting Janane and said this is how Janane talk to people.I feel so disappointed with this statement because as a customer why should I agree or accept such a bad customer service?
