This is only to share my bad experience to alert other friends and relatives, and most importantly, this is a consumer right.
The worst experience ever in my life was this Japanese buffet.
We made a reservation for 17 adults and 1 child, and we placed our order with the restaurant three days before our buffet day, as advised by the management to allow them to prepare our food in advance. We followed their advice precisely. We arrived at the restaurant at 11:30 AM and confirmed our preordered meals with them. Around 12:10 PM, the waiter informed us that there was no salmon available because they were out of stock. They suggested replacing the salmon with saba, but I refused as I couldn't imagine a Japanese buffet without salmon. The manager explained that the shortage was due to being overwhelmed with crowds the previous day, and the suppliers had not replenished their stock.I still couldn't accept it. Eventually, the chef offered us unagi, which we agreed to, along with BBQ prawns, but they limited it to one prawn per person, which seemed stingy. We waited until 1 PM, but our preordered food arrived slowly, like turtles. They served us tofu, chicken grill, and chicken karage, but still no fish. Finally, after three plates of saba were brought out, we ordered more, only to be told it was out of stock again.I couldn't believe how they could run a business without ethics. A Japanese buffet costing about rm68 per person with no salmon or saba. In the end, we gave up and ate whatever they served. Do you think it was worth it?
The staff tried to pacify us, but their excuses all revolved around supplier problems. But isn't this a problem for the consumer? Preordered meals were confirmed on Saturday and Sunday, and our buffet day was on Thursday. Couldn't the restaurant have allocated materials for serving 17 adults at least three days in advance? This was a big disappointment for our family, and I felt deeply sorry for today's...
Read moreFirst and last time patronising this place. I would get better service, quality of food and cleanliness in any of the local sushi chains. The waiters were incapable of serving the food well and spilled all the soy sauce around a plate of gyoza. Mind you , the sauce was for dipping and not to be drenched in due to the extreme saltiness. DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE CUTLERIES. Absolute joke. The cutleries were oily to the touch and on the fork, between 2 prongs there were still something “stuck” to it.
Ordered a Katsu Curry which looks not too bad but the moment you dig in, would be your biggest regret. The curry was cold and the chicken was at most lukewarm. How long has the curry sat on your service table before being served for it to turn cold?
Together with the curry, we ordered a Tempura udon set which did not come even after 15 minutes of the Katsu Curry being served. When they finally decided to serve, they only served the tempura without the udon and others. Eventually, due to the long wait, I then decided to cancel the Set and left to patronise the shop beside selling Chinese Food.
I might have had a bad experience but it would solely be mine. I do not or will not discourage anybody who attempts to visit them. All views and opinions are solely mine and do not...
Read moreI recently dined at Hazata Izakaya Cheras, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. While the place boasts a nice ambiance and good service, the quality of the food left much to be desired. To start with, the food was a letdown. Every dish seemed to suffer from a balance issue – either too salty, too sweet, or both. The meat in my beef dish was particularly problematic, with too many veins making it hard to chew. The tofu in the agedashi tofu dish was questionable in terms of freshness, which is concerning. Additionally, the side dishes, such as the chawanmushi, were too tough, and the rice was overly soggy. The tempura udon was passable, but the broth was a strange combination of being overly salty and sweet, which didn’t sit well with my palate.Overall, despite the pleasant atmosphere and attentive service, the primary purpose of a restaurant is to serve good food. Unfortunately, Hazata Izakaya Cheras failed in this regard. If they can't cook well, they should reconsider serving these dishes to their customers. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving their...
