Penang Cendol • Leisure Mall — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

After pandemic, I went Penang main branch to eat their famous Cendol after few yrs lock down . I found they double up the price from 2++ become 4++ This not important coz everything price go up . Some shop even can't buy nice red bean . Then I found out , the best red bean they have , become smashed red bean even don't have the bean sharp ... I cry. N say don't want go Penang anymore .

Then weather too hot with haze , I buy one is Rm 7++ A bit pricy .. then is very very big bowl almost double size from Penang

I very happy still maintain the taste at branch . .I know they have van sell this . After the boss son attend some courses , their service change .

I sure come back cheras eat this , no need go Penang .

I was very disappointed with my recent visit. When I simply asked for a cup of warm water, the staff told me they couldn’t provide it. However, when I changed my order to hot lemon tea, they were able to make it. This doesn’t make sense—how can a restaurant not have warm water but still serve hot beverages?

Hot lemon tea requires hot water as a base, so refusing warm water seems unreasonable. It feels like the staff either didn’t want to accommodate a simple request or there’s a lack of proper training. Good service should prioritize customer needs, especially for something as basic as water.

I hope management clarifies this policy or improves staff flexibility. Many customers, including those with health needs or parents with babies, may just want warm water. This experience has left me...

I had a very disappointing experience here.

Cleanliness: The table was dirty when we sat down. We asked the staff to clean it, and although they acknowledged our request, nobody came. In the end, we had to clean the table ourselves as our order had already been served.

Food Quality: The food was below expectations and overpriced. I tried the White Coffee Cendol Ice (which costs RM2 more than the signature cendol), but it turned out completely tasteless and lacked even the basic gula melaka. The rojak portion was small and flavorless as well.

Value for Money: For the quality and portion size, the pricing is unreasonable.

Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. This will be my first and last visit to this outlet, I won’t be...
