“As one who claimed Indonesian.. I think u could do better than this”
Batagor, siomay, pempek r kinda a snack in Indonesia. And wherever u buy this snack there, either it’s street food concept or a joint.. most of the time it never fails u...
I didn’t say this is bad, but it’s just a “meh” and far from local style. I bought the siomay & pempek..
Siomay was just 1 kind only (which usually we have more varieties) also applies to pempek. Even usually in Indonesia, we can make a choice as ur preference. The only thing that serves the criteria was the peanut sauce but not the pempek sauce. I didn’t try the batagor.. but I could imagine how it will be.
The waiting time was too long just for a decent snack. Price, is just not really worth it.. place wise is decent, can be improved.
At the end, I added & mixed it to make it better. I put more vegs, tofu & eggs, mixed the pempek into the siomay (my last pic)
So for me, it’s still far off from the local cuisine. Good to know,...
Read moreWe went there during peak lunch hour on weekend. Place wasn't hard to find since very near to lrt chow kit and next to main road. Seats all were fully occupied but it wasn't long til we got out seats. I had to go to the kitchen to order myself cause according to the worker, they're full hands so its better for us to order ourselves instead of waiting for waiter to come. It's not an issue for us. The workers all were nice.
Unfortunately the food wasn't up to our expectations. Mind you that I'm a Malaysian and my friend who came with me is an Indonesian. But both of us were quite disappointed with the food. My friend didn't finish her bakso. Cilok I ordered was ok I think cause it was my first time ordering so I don't know what to expect. Nasi ayam penyet was disappointing :( the chicken was chewy and the sambal hijau just not to my liking. Drinks were ok. Price was quite overpriced which was total rm45. Wouldn't want to come again unfortunately:( need improvement...
Read moreI really love this place! It reminds me of places in Indonesia it feels so familiar. But for the batagor, I honestly love it so much. However, for the Mie gacoan, I didn’t really like it. The taste is quite different, and the crackers were really, really hard. So, I prefer the other menu items instead But for those of you who have an Indonesian palate, love spicy food, or even something sweet everything is available here! If you want to try authentic Indonesian food, especially from Java or Bandung, you can find it here. And I really, really recommend it! Though, if you plan to eat inside, it’s a bit hot in my opinion , so it’s better to sit at the terrace area. As for the price, it’s affordable and cheap I like it with the big...
