Mak Pah Tomyam - Ayam Lado Cili Ijau — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

A hidden gem in Chow Kit area. The restaurant was introduced by one of my colleague’s husband who often drive all the way from Nilai to this restaurant. So, we gave it a try.

Parking your car on the street could be a problem but better look for the nearby paid parking in the renovated building.

The main specialty is Ayam Goreng Kampung with Sambal Hijau. So, we ordered 2 pieces for each of us.

In addition, we ordered Ikan Bawal Goreng with Sambal Lada. This is the best dish - big portion, cheap RM20, very tasty.

We also ordered Sup Sayur and Sup Cendawan, which fall within our expectations.

Definitely we will come again and try other menu such as Ikan Kembung Singgang and Ikan Tilapia Goreng with...

The service is very very very bad even when the good is very delicious.

We literally ordered the RM6.50 ayam balado but we got the RM10.50 ayam kampung. We had no idea it was vice versa and ate it as usual. When we were paying, we clarified it and they didnt even say sorry. No responsibility and didnt do anything to their miscommunication. They just waited for our response. We literally showed at the menu of our order and they still gave us the wrong one and say usually people order the ayam kampung. It was our first time so how should we know?

Overall the taste was good but their service spoils it all with their waiters and cashier.

At first visit every dishes ordered were marvellous, especially ayam lado and beef telur bungkus. At second visit found that their beef telur bungkus tasted different, could be different person cooked it. Tomyam was below average, they should change name to ayam lado cili ijau instead using tomyam name lol because mostly come there for their lado cili ijau only. Caution, dont go look at behind the shop (motorcycle parking area beside their shop to be exact) or you will lose your appetite...
