Best BB Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

To be honest, I don’t even want to rate that one star but the system requires to give at least one star before reviewing the restaurant. So I don’t know how this restaurant getting 4 stars in the google review! This restaurant is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been!

Operation Hours: We reach at 9:30pm and order after 8 minutes. Operation hours mentioned in the google is until 10:30pm but they are rushing to clear everything by the time we seated. I’m not sure why and they didn’t mention if the restaurant is about to close! They should had notify us when we arrive, then all these circumstances me that and my family faced will not even happen!

Rice portion: The rice portion is even lesser than a small rice portion. Reason we found out is they have out of rice for the upcoming customers and that’s why they giving it that much. While we want to refill the rice, they told us no more rice while it’s only 9:53pm and even after we add on one more dish. So what’s the point of adding the dish if your restaurant has no rice anymore! The aunty even call us to order fried noodles since no rice! What a “brilliant” marketing trick huh…

No ice in the whole restaurant: We ordered a pot of tea with ice cubes. When I asked the server to refill the ice and he went into the restaurant and return the empty ice container saying there’s no more ice. I look at him with my fierce eyes then only he call us to wait, he will go buy the ice. What a ridiculous joke, a restaurant run out of ice before the closing time and just comeback with such a funny reply?!!

Staff attitude: The whole restaurant staff including the “bosses” themselves, no one even greet you; bring you to the empty seat; replying “sorry/thank you”. That’s why I wonder how this restaurant got this high of rating? Their faces look like I owe them 100million dollars! A very basic knowledge to work in a service industry, they don’t have at all… Myself working in a hospitality industry feeling ashamed to this kinda restaurant operating in the town.

I’ve been a loyal customer here and have always enjoyed my meals, even giving a 5-star review in the past. However, my experience during CNY was disappointing.

We arrived earlier than another family, but the staff prioritized them, even though they hadn’t decided on their order while we were ready to order. It felt like we were treated differently just because we were a smaller group.

To make things worse, as soon as we sat down, the staff immediately told us that "单座" was not available—without even asking what we wanted to order. We had planned to order seafood, snacks, and rice, yet the attitude we received was unwelcoming, as if they assumed we couldn’t afford it.

On top of that, the food here is just so-so, and the hygiene is concerning which we even saw a rat running around the outdoor seating area.

Was in this restaurant on the 28th September 2020 (i believe) roughly at 9-9.30pm when we arrived. We got a Assam style fried Tilapia and a Salted fish Kailan. Both were very good. My expectations were just normal but this surpassed it. I look forward to come back here to try other food. The pricing was, i think okay. Possibly a tiny bit more than usual but i think it is fine for what we got. Will add updates if i ever come back again. Parking,i suspect could be a problem but we came late and so didn't have any issues.

Edit1: Recently visited this place again. We had the fish and kailan again, but this time we added Tofu and the pork. All in all, still good. The pork was over cooked though. So, it was on the harder and drier side. Maybe skip the pork or reject it if...
