Been frequenting this shop over 7 yrs. always enjoyed the food, like a place for comfort food. But today I went and was absolutely horrified. Will never go again to a shop whose owner lacks respect & minor accomodation to its customer and also attitude. I ordered my usual loushufun mee hoon soup, today was a new foreign worker, she seem quite blur, anyways, its ok. Noodles came and was wrong, gave yellow mee & loushufun. I said politely its wrong noodles, pls change. Staff went to ask lady boss, lady boss say tell her can not change. I say, well i do not take yellow mee in soup, she said if you dont we cant do anything weโll have to Throw, is that what you want? I said well, i didnt order wrong your staff written wrong she said i wouldnt know if you were wrong or the staff was. Is it so impossible to accomodate? Just taking out the yellow mee and replace it with mee hoon as per my Order. She insisted no. So i said i been frequenting your shop for years before You even moved to the shop lot. She dont seem to value regulars i think. Her expression was just like either you eat it or not we are not changing it. So i paid left the noodles untouch, took my take away wanton and left. Even the take away wanton was in wrong number of pieces. It shows how the foreign staff was incompetent in taking order. The shop rather lose a regular customer over the negligence of a new staff. Perhaps they dont bother as their business is good they dont mind losing a small customer.
My point is, overall way the lady boss responded and its attitude . Not even apologetic or try to verify with the staff and just uttered comments like if you dont want it then we will have to throw it.
Sadly, the last time going to this shop. Its a pity as I do like their noodles, but this is a matter...

We suspected that it was due to the rather heavy usage of MSG to enhance taste. I ordered the dry type (Kon Lou) as I did not want the soup to soften the noddles too much in the end. We also ordered extra Fried Tofu Skin (Fu Chuk). There was no way to go wrong with Fu Chuk, which turned out to be quite good, a little crispy and quite flavourful too.
Noodles was alright but the fish balls were not good except for the springy texture. The fish balls had a rotten fish flavour to it which I could not accept. Normally we would not go for fish balls noodles because of this. Fresh home-made fish balls do not normally have this unpleasant flavour.
Drinks were ordinary. Food and drinks were affordably priced.
Getting a parking spot could be a hassle, we had to park our cars quite a distance away, small problem.
We were very thirsty after leaving this place. The MSG aftertaste and type of fish balls used would be quite a deterrent should we decide to come back again in the future.

ย ย ย Read moreVisited this place over the weekend for brunch. Unfortunately it was not the most comfortable dining experience.
The establishment has no air conditioning and the outdoor seating area was filled with smokers. Inside the restaurant it was hot and humid with poor ventilation especially since the frying of the dumplings was done indoors without proper exhaust piping, the air felt smoky and greasy.
The one highlight was the Fish Skin Wanton ้ฑผ็ฎไบๅ - (้ฃ็ข) and the soup broth. It was flavorful and wasnโt salty . However their dry noodles were a letdown, overly drenched in sesame oil with little soy sauce aroma or taste.
Service was fast which was highly appreciated. But overall, this isnโt a place I would return especially witth my kids. The smoky smell clings to our hair and clothes makes it...
