Patronised this restaurant on a Monday public holiday, not many people inside, less than half of the shop was occupied. When I was about to place my order, the server told us the wait could be like 30 mins, almost walked out but luckily we didn’t.
Food came in stages, in less than 30 mins. First, the papaya salad was very good, very intense flavour—shredded papaya, carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, little shrimps, chilli. I must say it was spicy so if you want less spicy, write it on the order sheet remarks.
Next is the Thai tea, so thick and hot (temperature) so they didn’t stinge on the ingredients to make this cup. I really hate fake diluted watery tea.
Then the seafoood pad thai. It was absolutely delicious! Now I love pad thai so I had many different pad thai but this is one of the top ones I’d always go back to eat. The portion was big, the flavour is just nice and the two huge prawns was fresh too. There were 2 pieces of squid rings in it.
Lastly, the pandan chicken. It was thoroughly marinated and I love the hint of lemongrass taste. It’s almost like satay but tastes way better!
Restaurant was clean and spacious, I’d...

Yes, the restaurant clearly states that it serves cuisine from Northern Thailand — a detail apparently missed by those expecting the fire and fury of central or southern Thai dishes. Northern Thai cuisine tends to be more delicate, with milder heat and an emphasis on fresh herbs. Not every Thai dish has to wage war on your tongue.
And honestly, for anyone from Malaysia — a country equally diverse and spread across multiple regions — this idea of regional culinary variation shouldn't come as a surprise.
As for the price? Fair is fair. The menu is reasonably priced, and I found the overall experience enjoyable. You’re not just paying for a meal, but for the chance to explore a different side of Thai cuisine — and that’s a...
Read moreWe had an amazing dining experience at Bhai Jim Jum in MyTown shopping centre, Kuala Lumpur! We started with the fish cakes and honey & sriracha chicken wings, both of which were absolutely delicious. The flavours were spot on, and they went down a treat. For our mains, we had the sweet & sour chicken with rice and the cashew chicken and rice, both of which were cooked to perfection. The sweet & sour chicken was tangy and savory, while the cashew chicken was rich and aromatic. The service was also top-notch - our server was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It's not the fanciest restaurant, but the food truly shines, and the prices are great too. If you're in the area and craving Thai food, I would definitely recommend giving Bhai Jim Jum a try. It's located on the basement floor of MyTown, so give it a try, as it's worth...
