If I could give the restaurant 0 stars. I had one of the most unpleasant dining experiences at TGI FRIDAYS. While seated, there was a customer with her camera on and possibly recording herself on video, with her camera angled directly towards me. I was uncomfortable, and I politely asked her to adjust her camera. Instead of being reasonable, she began yelling and cursing at me.
I raised the issue with the waiter, but instead of handling the situation or at least acknowledging my discomfort, the staff did absolutely nothing. He disappeared and avoided any confrontation. When my mother and I eventually came back, his response was dismissive and unprofessional... making a careless remark along the lines of “what to do” in an arrogant tone. This was not only unhelpful but also no one should have to endure harassment or be recorded without consent while dining out, and it was deeply disappointing that the restaurant prioritized avoiding confrontation over protecting their guests’ comfort and dignity. They chose to ignore the problem and allowed the rude behavior to continue, leaving me feeling shaken, disrespected, and completely unsupported as a customer.
This was not just bad service... it was a total failure of service recovery. TGI FRIDAYS needs to train their staff better on handling conflicts and safeguarding all customers, not just catering to the loudest or rudest ones. The
I will not be returning, and I hope whomever plans to dine here consider this...
Read moreWe visited Fridays on December 15, 2024, 8pm, as a group of three. We ordered three meals, but only two meals were served. While waiting for the third meal, my two companions had already finished eating, and there was still no sign of the remaining order.
We tried to get the attention of the waitstaff by raising our hands for a long time, but no one came over. This was not during a busy period, as the staff had time to sing a birthday song for another table, yet they failed to notice us. Finally, we managed to call a waiter, who casually told us that the kitchen had likely forgotten about our order. Frustrated, I asked to cancel the third meal. The waiter went to the kitchen and came back to confirm the cancellation.
However, when we proceeded to pay the bill, we were shocked to find that the canceled meal was still included. This oversight, combined with the poor service and lack of attention, left us very disappointed. Fridays seriously needs to improve both its customer service and communication between the front staff and kitchen.
Let me know if you'd like to adjust or...
Read moreI ordered the seafood platter and fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms came first, they were a little salty but still acceptable. However, when the seafood platter arrived, it was extremely salty, so I informed the server. She quickly offered to replace it, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the replacement dish was still just as salty. When I gave my feedback again, the server told me that “so far no one complained, maybe you just don’t take salty food,” which I felt was quite rude and unprofessional to say to a customer. I didn’t want to argue, so I asked to have it packed instead. Later, I let my friends try it and all of them agreed it was overly salty.
I hope the restaurant can look into this, both the food seasoning and the way feedback is handled. I do appreciate the quick service, but customer feedback should be respected,...
