I found this (it is not a hidden gem) restaurant from friends and said must try. Ok why not. No walk in allowed as mostly fully booked during evenings and weekends. So you don’t take your chance la. Once I walked in and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us menu and didn’t pressure us to take our order. About 10mins or so I ordered their signature secret steak (270g) Gran Fed Angus Ribeye I Mixed Selad 1 Choice of one sauce which I took the Chimichurri. I also ordered signature grilled chicken chop, Argentinian Striploin Steak (220g) Grain Fed Angus Striploin mixed Salad one sauce, house Caesar salad, sourdough and mashed potatoes. So our food comes within 15 mins and first sourdough was delicious and crispy a nice 7.8. Must try man. Next the salad with big chunks of watermelon, it’s very fresh and tasty a good 6.3. Mashed potatoes was so so buttery and sweet and delicious a great 8.7. Next the main course, my secret steak comes with a mini butcher knife. It’s very cute and it’s so so sharp. Lol. The steak was middle raw cooked and it’s so buttery and smooth. It’s so good and mouth watering an awesome 9.1. The Argentinian Striploin Steak was also amazing with a solid 7.6. The chicken chop was delicious and seasoned well. The chicken was not dry and the flavor had depth in it. Oh ya did I forget to mention their Chimichurri sauce. It was so dammmm yummy. I can’t get enough of it! Overall a great dinner here. No need to say la I will definitely definitively come again and maybe again.

Cleaver Shed at Plaza TTDI is barely 2 weeks old but the term "the new kid on the block" is too generic and does not do justice to the passion behind it all. It's a dream fulfilled for Chef Amelia, who feels that steak should be affordable. She is making that happen with the tag line "now everyone can eat steak". Amelia discovered her love for all things culinary when she was pursuing her studies in the UK. Having graduated with a first class honors in Journalism and Public Relations, she went on to pursue her passion by enrolling at the Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia and later, France. This was justified by the nine awards she won, amongst which was Champion of the International Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Jeunes Chef 2017 Competition. We tried the Angus Ribeye Steak, Grilled Chicken chop, and Lamb Loin, creamy mushroom and the soup of the day. All were good but if we had to choose one, our favourite was the steak. The basque burnt cheesecake was flavourful and moist. We didn't try the pasta but on our next visit, will order trufle mushroom which our friends say is good. Service was excellent. There were 5 of us and we had indicated we were splitting our food. They pre-cut up the steak to make it easier for our group. Parking is easily available. On weekdays, paid basement parking might be a better option but on weekends, there are plenty of street parking available. The TTDI MRT station is next door for commuters.

The Angus steak, served at 270g, was a generous portion, larger than what I’m used to. The meat was seared perfectly to my requested medium rare. While I’m not entirely sure how Béarnaise sauce should traditionally taste, I found the steak still delicious without it. The salad that came with the dish was well-dressed and fresh. The grilled chicken chop was seasoned well, though I found the chicken flavor a bit stronger than I personally prefer. That said, this might just be a matter of taste. On a positive note, the mashed potatoes were absolutely fantastic—definitely my favorite part of the meal on my first visit. The mushroom soup was served with sourdough, but I didn’t feel the combination worked well, as the soup itself already had a noticeable sourness. Personally, I think it would have been better if the soup were richer, creamier, and more savory, with a stronger herbaceous flavor to round it out. As for the cheesecake, I think it could use a little improvement, though it was still enjoyable. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience all the more pleasant. The restaurant’s ambiance is charming and cozy, with a cool theme featuring walnut wood and black accents. I also really appreciated the playlist—they played some great songs that added to the atmosphere.

First time visiting this restaurant and as follows; Hard to find a parking space (so park in the main car park - also not easy to get in and out of) No alcohol - so take your own as nowhere to buy around the restaurant Food is ok, but not amazing Service is awful - had the wrong main delivered, we were a party of 7 and my meal came 30mins after everyone else’s Even managed to get the coffee orders wrong - despite me (and after the main mean debacle) going through the dessert and coffee orders wrong twice

So in response to the above the management of Clever Shed wrote (and my response underneath);

Parking: We understand that parking in TTDI can be challenging. While we do offer access to the main building car park, availability and traffic flow are unfortunately beyond our control. We recommend arriving early, using e-hailing services, or taking the MRT, which is conveniently located right beside TTDI Plaza.

I didn’t say they weren’t other options I just pointed out and for others that parking isn’t easy and it isn’t.

Alcohol Policy: As clearly stated on our menu and social media platforms, we are a non-alcoholic establishment. However, we do allow guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages, subject to a small outside drink fee. We respect all preferences and kindly ask that guests review our policies beforehand to avoid any inconvenience.

I didn’t look at your social media sites and nor do you have a website, and only noticed the policy when at the restaurant and saw it on the menu once we arrived (which of course is too late) and again, for others to be aware.

Food & Service Timing: We take pride in preparing our dishes from scratch, which includes proper cooking and resting time to ensure quality. On the day of your visit, we were operating at full capacity and prioritized serving starters before mains.

It wasn’t a ‘starter before main’ issue, the party I was with received their mains 30mins before my son (whose order your team got wrong) and I received our main - I even had to ask the waiter twice where our meal was.

Coffee Orders: Our staff repeated the coffee orders to confirm, but we understand that miscommunication can happen—especially in a lively group setting. Despite the confusion, we chose not to charge for the drinks that were 'wrongly ordered' as a gesture of goodwill.

That’s unfortunately not true - It was I who repeated the order to your waiter three times, given the earlier error with the wrong main for my son - and you still got the coffee orders wrong!

and I am glad you appreciate ‘constructive feedback’ but note, Google reviews are not just for the proprietor they are also and more importantly for other Google users who may be thinking of coming to your restaurant.

I would suggest you read my feedback in the spirit it was given, hopefully for you to improve and for other visitors to know...

Cleaver Shed has everything that I like in a restaurant. Amazing food, prompt service and ambience that whisks me away to dream land. The food was so good that I had to order a second round just to sate that appetite.

Steak and foie gras perfectly done ribeye steak. Well seasoned and topped with fleur de sel. The color on it was amazing. Crispy skin and a tender medium temp on the steak. Couldn't have asked for a better steak. Foie gras was buttery and melty and all the flavory goodnes seeped into the steak. Bearnaise sauce was lighter than what I'm used to but I love it nonetheless. The garlic aioli was heavy on the garlic and I'm lovin it

Pomodoro pasta A simple pasta dish yet when well executed carries so much flavor and fragrance. I love the cooked and raw tomatoes that go together and contrast each other. Resulting in a comforting yet refreshing pasta dish.

Chicken chop and rice pilaf I swear the chicken is to die for. Juicy chicken with a crispy skin. Seasoned with herbs and and charred til perfectly smoky. Rice pilaf was soft and tender. And the chimichurri sauce was very herby and fragrant.

Prawn Aglio Olio the prawn Aglio olio was 👌👌👌. Juicy crispy prawns paired with the garlicky slightly spicy aglio olio. A classic dish that can never go wrong.

Basque burnt cheesecake perfectly good basque burnt cheesecake. The original flavor is superbly good. A hint of lemon to pair with the gloriously cheesy goodness. Would definitely order this one again.

Overall

I really enjoyed my experience at the cleaver shed and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a western place to eat. Price wise was very very fair. Would definitely come back here whenever I'm back in KL. Thank you chefs! You guys...
