This is the first & last time I will ever come to this restaurant. I’d brought my mum to try this place as she likes malay food & kuih. But totally was dissapointed because of the overpriced that they charged us (one small bowl of soto w/out any condiments just nasi himpit & shredded chicken for my kids 10ringgit) a plate of lontong darat, 1scoop of tofu dish (my mum only took abit), warm water, longan ais, 1 glass of teh tarik & 4 karipap 6 cucur badak cost us total of 99ringgit. We felt cheated due to the overpriced we paid for the food. Besides that, we were not comfortable w/ an elderly lady (I’d assumed the owner of the restaurant) while her daughter is taking orders from us, we heard that elderly lady yelling and degrading her staffs (staffs working at the beverage area) infront of us & other customers too. She also yelled and belittled her staffs that worked at the kuih area. After we read the reviews, not surprise that other customers said the same thing about this owner too. Bad service & Bad attitude. Definitely will never...
Read moreI recently visited a restaurant offering a wide selection of traditional Johor dishes. The environment was clean and family-friendly, making it a comfortable setting for group dining. The staff were polite and welcoming, and the food was served within 5 to 10 minutes — which was pleasantly efficient.
I ordered the Nasi Ambang, which came in a large portion, ideal for sharing or a very hearty appetite. The menu offered a wide range of traditional Johorean options, which is a highlight for those looking to explore local cuisine.
Unfortunately, the overall food taste was just average. What truly affected the experience was finding a small piece of metal in the dish, which I suspect came from a worn-out kitchen brush. While it may have been accidental, this raises concerns about the kitchen’s hygiene and food safety practices.
In addition, I found the prices to be quite high considering the quality and the incident mentioned. Although the setting and service were pleasant, the lack of care in food preparation has led me to decide...
Read moreA very old school restaurant serving Johor local dishes with a variety of kuih. We had Lontong, Lontong Kering, 1 keria, 1 bite-sized karipap, 1 Koci & 1 limau ais; total bill came out to RM45.
The wasnt a clear display of food price in the shop. They pasted a paper menu but it was ripped off with what it seems like pasted-editted price. Food was served cold, my biggest turn off. Even if it was ready-made food, it should at least be heated in the microwave or at least, keep the food warm. Food taste, honestly tastes bland :( No communication between staffs(?) idk, but a few people had to come and ask what drinks we ordered. There were some staffs screaming to the kitchen, it felt uncomfortable tbh.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience, don't think I would ever come back...
