This has been my frequent spot for late dinners due to them closing at 1130pm . All this while since ive been quite used to the food, i totally forgot to take pics and even drop a review.🤣
First n foremost i value the hospitality of the waiters. In fact at any restaurant for that matter. So here, for me, i frequent this restaurant wearing my casual t shirt n sandals and still will receive warm n friendly hospitality from its waiters. Mind u, there are some arabic restaurants who arent really frenly despite the abundance of food ordered. You will know which is which if u have been a fan of arabic food.
Atmosphere is nice since they provide different set ups. One dining area is inside with air cons for quiet conversations and the other one is outside with really gorgeous garden settings..almost luxurious.
So far, my favourite are Al Sultan TTDi, Royal Bedouin in Plaza Damas ( sorry not ttdi branch) and one more in Cova Kota Damansara.
If u wana practise your arabic, you can. Some are from egypt and some are Pakistans and Yemen. They will happily engage with u in a short arabic conversation.
So the food is good n flavourful depending on the types of food u ordered. You would know how a good chicken mandy tastes like, or Mulawah bread, or chicken aqda etc.
Service is reasonably fast. If u r caught in a busy session, u have to wait slightly longer but thats fine for me.
Sorry I didnt take pics here since i would think many have seen how arabic meals would look like. 😁😁
Oh yeah, the best part is ,here they will give u a sincere short celebration for your birthday. That means a lot for customers.
Hope they maintain this whole quality and become a...
Read moreHere the Yemeni Mulawah bread is a must-try. I ordered the largest size and it's perfect with lamb fahasa, which is my ultimate favourite Yemeni dish. It's deliciously flavourful and rich, and the shredded lamb is well cooked with tomatoes and onions, resulting in not too watery or gravy ish, that's what I like it to be the most. 👍
Not to mention the Mulawah bread is so good! 🔥 crispy, savory, and nutty thanks to tons of black sesameseeds. Just like at Sanaa, Saba, Saraya, some of Yemen Restaurants, Cyberjaya, Serdang, and Sri Kembangan we used to enjoy, the fun of tearing the bread with my hands and eating it whole is truly the best of all. That's why I asked them to serve it whole, rather than cutting it up in the kitchen. Yemeni food truly captured our hearts as we haven't had it in recent years. I can tell by trying the Yemeni fahasa and Mulawah. Next time, i gotta give a try other Yemeni dishes like akda, qedah, fasouria etc of course witg gigantic mulawah. 😋
The other lamb kebabs and lamb cubes grilled were delicious as they are pretty standard, but the portions were a bit small for us like a big eater family of 3. 🤣
Also, the portions of hummus and baba ghanoush for dipping were quite small. Once you dip the bread in it, it's almost gone like seeing the bottom of the plate, so it's really really shallow. Besides, the baba ghanoush is overly watery with tomatoes and onions, and I couldn't taste any eggplants 🍆 at all. Oh just the that day?
Other than that, the Yemmeni food alone, my family is gonna come again for sure!
The staff is kind, attentive and super kid friendly! Highly recommended for those craving for Yemeni...
