Deliciously devlish. The hugest satay I have ever eaten. Those on carnivore mode wld love the meaty-fatty-tastiest laden satay seasoning ever! Tho on low carb, I decided to savour a whole lot of the beef skewers even tho it relatively has high carb due to its seasoning. Coming a long way from Sg is just not right to let my crave for satay a miss. The chicken satay were as good, it was juicy and moist; the way I love it. I wld dread it if it were dry. The satay gravy complements the meat perfectly. But you will need to keep asking more when you've finished them as they serve sparingly. My guess is that ppl tend to waste it. But they obliged to your request for a refill without any fuzz.
I love the area surrounding the place as it has this kampongish aura with a stunning view of the twin towers at its backdrop.
The service at the start wasnt pleasant as the place was filled with orders. Many tabao in huge numbers. But when things have settled, the ppl were actually friendly even helping to take photos for us. To an extent, ushered us patiently to a spot with a pretty good angle for a shoot overlooking the iconic twin towers.
Price wise it's worth my money spent. Chicken was at RM 1.30 each, Beef at RM 1.70, a medium sized plate of Ketupat Lontong with onions and cucumbers at RM 5. For a total of 11, a mixture of adults and teenagers, spent RM240 inclusive of an assortment of drinks. But be advised, the one making the drinks have a high level of sweetness so must tell her be easy with the...
Read moreComing here was a big mistake. This place should be renamed Din Penipu Satay Kampung Baru. Price of satay blurred out. Informed us that it's RM1.50 for beef and RM1.30 for chicken. We ordered 15 sticks beef, 10 sticks chicken and 1 nasi impit, with cucumber and onions on the side. When settling the bill, the boss told us it's total RM40. Then, when he gave us the change, he charged us RM44, saying cucumber is expensive (?). For drinks, just a teh ais and a glass of plain water cost us another RM4! From earlier reviews, seems that cheating when giving change is the norm. Satay was average. Service was terrible. The boss was the rudest food vendor I have ever come across. Parking was a nightmare, on the roadside. Don't even think of coming here, and warn your family and friends. Be wary of all the...
Read moreDin Satay in Kampung Baru is one of the best places in KL to enjoy traditional, juicy, and flavour-packed satay. Whether it's chicken, beef, or lamb, each stick is grilled to perfection over hot charcoal—smoky, tender, and marinated just right!
The satay is served with their rich, thick peanut sauce, ketupat, and fresh cucumber and onion on the side. The sauce alone is worth the visit—creamy, slightly spicy, and full of flavour.
The vibes at Kampung Baru make the experience even better—it's authentic, lively, and filled with the aroma of grilled satay. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are reasonable for the quality you get.
If you’re in Kuala Lumpur and craving proper satay, Din Satay is a must-try. It’s a true...
