Location is not that central: 20 mins walk to KLCC. Taxi waiting time is long, more than 20mins in the evening. Parking is extra rm30 per day. The room itself is dated and very cheaply furnished. Stained walls, squashed cockroach in the cupboard. Electric cooker is broken, so can only warm food in the microwave, not cook. The condo itself is old and it’s very busy. Most people who stay there are budget travellers from Asia region. Booking the room doesn’t give you access to the gym or pool, that comes at extra cost. However the worst is the attitude of the staff. Not sure if all rentals are managed by the same company, but mine was called SP home at Mercu Summer Suits. I was met by a very arrogant man who made no effort to welcome you at all. He was 20 mins late despite prior notification of the time of arrival. The payment was accepted by cash only, and the final price was 25% more than what was quoted online when I booked. On top of that he ask for cash deposit and tourism tax. He refused to provide any kind of receipt — I doubt this tourist tax ever reaches the authorities. When I asked why there were so many extra chargers not mentioned in my quotation, he just snapped at me “you don’t like it, go somewhere else”. What a warm welcome! Surely I moved to another condo the next day. I only booked Mercu Summer suits because there was an availability on the day of my arrival — now I know why people don’t rush to book here. If you are a first time visitor to Malaysia, I do not advise you to stay here — you will ruin your experience. There are many better and newer condos around, also more convenient and safer location. I travel extensively in Malaysia and I can tell you it was the worst hospitality I ever encountered in the country. Generally people here are very polite and welcoming. PS Updated. After I published this review the manager insulted me and threatened so I had to block him. I add the screenshot. This just shows the level of hospitality by the management

First of all, I would like to emphasize that I hope what happened to us here is truly an isolated incident. Otherwise, it's really hard to believe: We booked a room here for three nights through Booking.com, and we were looking forward to a 4-star standard room. Our problems began with the check-in, as we had to wait 30 minutes until someone came to the counter, completed the formalities with us, took our cash and accompanied us to the room. The room turned out to be run-down, dirty and filthy. There was dirt everywhere: in the drawers of the bed and the kitchen, in the closet, really everywhere. Immediately after showering, our feet were black again after walking there barefoot. Everywhere there were signs of heavy wear and tear and many rusty spots. We found a very dirty and stinky cloth in one of the kitchen drawers - yuck! We wrote the employee a WhatsApp message and asked for a solution. His solution was to send someone with a rag who started cleaning here and there. However, that was not a proper solution. The apartment would a thorough cleaning AND renovation. So we asked for a new apartment—no chance. We asked for a discount – the manager would only agree if we cancel the room on Booking. Only then would he lower the price by a few MYR. That was too risky for us, as we would then no longer have booking protection. There was no chance of reaching an agreement with him. We tried to have a constructive conversation, but in the end, the manager threw us out of the room. We asked for 15 minutes to pack our things, but he wouldn't even give us that. We had to leave the room IMMEDIATELY. We were shocked. At least we got back the money we had paid in cash at check-in, including the deposit, and he said that a friend of his has a free room (where did that come from all of a sudden?). However, we had lost confidence and luckily found a much nicer room via AirBnB that matched the photos and description. So before you book: look at the photos and decide for yourself.

Review for KLCC Summer Suites by Luna. The worst renting experience in my 40+ years of travelling all around the world. Booked through booking com. The first apartment we were shown stank of cigarette smoke, we walked straight back out. The second apartment was mouldy, dirty, damaged throughout, and still had someone’s old dirty clothes in the cupboard. It had clearly not been cleaned. We waited in this apartment for the landlord to reply to our messages, for about 40 minutes. When he eventually told us this was the best apartment he could offer us, we asked for a refund. He agreed but when it came to the refund he refused to give us back our security deposit claiming a) we had smoked in the first apartment (this was a complete lie, we do not smoke and stayed in the apartment for less than 5 seconds!) and b) we had sat on the sofa and moved the sheets on the bed in the second apartment. Yes we had sat on the sofa while we waited for him to reply to our messages and yes we moved the sheets to check if they were clean (which they were) but we put them back and straightened them. This guy is a liar and a cheat and his apartments do not reflect the listings on all the major accommodation listing sites. You should avoid any listings for Luna at Summer Suites. There are other companies offering apartments in this block, we stayed instead at one managed by Soulasia which is very good indeed. Use one of the other companies, not Luna.

We booked a superior studio suite from a host named Summer Suits Bernice on Agoda. It is a scam to be avoided at all costs! First of all, the "fast check-in" is a joke: there's no reception or place to collect the keys, so you have to wait for a concierge to come and bring them to you (no information is provided about that and we waited 20 minutes). The same goes for checkout, although we had to specify the day before what time we wanted to leave. The entrance is bizarre to use and you receive no explanation on how to use it (all the guests we met during the two days we spent there had the same problem, you'll understand if you make the mistake of booking a room in this hotel).

Once in the room, the place was filthy, with cockroaches everywhere (a cockroach actually entered the room when we entered the apartment, and this didn't seem to surprise the concierge, who didn't even try to get rid of it). There were bloodstains on the sheets, and just look at the poster with all the prohibitions posted on the entrance wall, with all the charges in case of infringement." For example, it's forbidden to eat rambutans and mangosteens (god knows why) on pain of a 200 ringgit "fine", each minor stain on the sheets costs 5 ringgit even though the sheets are already filthy and full of holes, etc. (I regret not having taken a photo of the poster. It would have made a lot of people laugh).

But all this is nothing compared to the attempted scam at check-out: when we checked in, we received a ton of messages about the many rules to be respected. One of these messages stated that the room we had booked with a single bed had an AC problem and that they had replaced it with a room with two beds, but that we were only allowed to use one (a strange message, as I can't really see what it costs this person to change a bedding set...). So we chose one bed, but as the pillows were a bit small, we dared to take the two pillows from the bed we weren't allowed to use. When we checked out, the concierge took photos of the bed and sent them to the owner, who called us directly to ask for an explanation about the 2 pillows we'd used (yes, it's not a joke, she really did call for that). Since I got annoyed and mentioned the problems I just described, she told me to calm down and that she just wanted to talk (yes, once again, it's not a joke, she wanted to "discuss" the crime we had committed by using two pillows that were in our room). She obviously wanted to try to scrape a few rinngit off the deposit, even though she denied it. As she understood that we wouldn't let her, the deposit was returned to us, but that's not how you treat visitors in a civilized place. Anyway, I think that says it all. You'll easily find much better elsewhere in Kuala Lumpur.

Left a review on Adoga, but somehow, it didn't post. Good luck with your trip to Malaysia, money related issues...

Location is not too bad as you can walk to 2 nearest train stations for about 7mins if you want go Jalan Bintang, Pavillion, Petaling Street, China town, central market. They are all 2 train stations away. Besides the 24hour minimart, there is not much to eat at the lobby. There are 2 cafes but the food is not nice. Grab is very convenient. But if you want to go nearby places like KLCC twin towers, walk there about 10min may be faster than taking a grab as sometime there may be traffic jam during certain hours. So walking is best. The studio room we have is reasonably big for 2 persons. Generally clean. What we hope they could improve are:1. Internet is working well but the TV channels are of poor reception. Cannot watch news. But can watch old Netflix programs. They have Chinese, English, Cantonese programs. 2. The blanket is old and to us quite dirty. They don’t change towels daily nor do house cleaning daily. May be upon request. But they do house cleaning after 2 days of our stay. 3. The bathroom should install a shower curtain so that the toilet area won’t be wet. And the floor mat should use a slip proof material than a towel as the floor is slippery. Can be dangerous for old folks. 4. Provide min 2 pairs of slippers as the floor may be sticky. 5. Provide washing machine simple manual. Not easy to operate. 5. We feel security is not tied at all. The security Guards downstair don’t care who entered and how many people get through the gantry. And the key locks are those common ones that can be duplicated easily. So not surprise to hear about theft cases. No safe provided. 6. Ants around. And they bite too.

The lady who attended to us by name Lisa is good. She what’s Apps me before I arrived to inform me to contact her upon arrival. She checked us in and provided us keys. Any issue to contact her. Prompt response. If you are not fussy, it is not a bad place to stay overall. But if you expect everything to be so convenient like train stations are just next to the apartment, shopping Malls next door, pubs and restaurants along the apartment, this is not the happening “place”. You need a car out or...
