After two years, I just learned that this lontong shop—which had previously been located in Medan Selera Kampung Bharu had moved into a sturdy western restaurant in the centre of the crowded kampung bharu region.
As usual, there was a long queue forming up to the restaurant's entrance. The store is currently just a tiny gerai in the restaurant's left corner.
Yes, my friend and I arrived specifically to savour lontong jawa paired with crispy paru goreng. For each of us, we add more tempeh goreng. Taken the first spoonful, the gravy is a touch thin and has less spice and turmeric flavour. It was too sweet to go with the sambal kelapa. A few complement the sambal cili.
I can still taste its flavour as when they were still at their former the premises. The crisp paru was crushed into the rich sauce that covered the entire dish of lontong. Eating the fragrant lontong rice cube that soaked up all the vegetables in a thick gravy while the paru goreng was still crunchy was a wonderful feeling. She even told me where to get fried chicken for my granddaughter (I reckon all chicken balik kampung for Chinese New year.) They also...

It opens only morning to afternoon, breakfast to brunch. I saw once in the weekend, people are quequeing for this - dont know why. This stall also provides nasi lemak, many malaysians are fanatic to that kind of food. The price is around 5-10 RM. So, if you want something different for your breakfast and not bothered with the queque, then try...
