Had my early Mother’s Day lunch with my parents at Dotty's Pastries & Coffee the TTDI’s branch. When we placed our orders, the waiter confidently recorded our choices with his ‘brain’ without relying on any notes. At first we were impressed like ‘wow he can remember?’ But what happened up next shows he doesn’t. First dish came 15 mins later. Well thats consider quite soon so we were still chill and wait for the next few orders to come. Thereafter in 5 mins the drinks came, same goes to the second, and the third dish. After that, it stopped. Well, it must be a longer preparation time required, so we waited again. But no, the next table who came later than us had their orders arrived! And it was already 15 mins since the last dish came. So I went and check. They apologised and said today a lot of customers, another 5 mins pls. Fine. Patiently waited again. Another 10 mins is over. They served another 2 dishes. No updates nor sign of servings for the remaining 2. So, I went and check again cause we need to rush off in another 15 mins. Another waiter said food will be ready in 5 mins. Waited for another 15 mins again. Eventually, we cancelled it and asked for bill. So lesson of the day... please do not simply use ur brain to remember when you know you will miss someone’s order. Use the paper and pen instead. To be honest I hardly place my complaint anywhere, but this has gone beyond my bottom line through over committing. By saying ‘give me another 5 mins’ over and over again really doesn’t help to make a happy customer. What you are doing is giving an expectation that you can...

I visited Dotty's in TTDI today and was disappointed with the experience, especially given the high prices. I ordered the soft-shell crab burger (RM42+tax), but the first bite was underwhelming. The crab was overly fishy, and the juices spilling out made it feel undercooked. My friend tried it and agreed. The flavor was nothing special, with an overload of mayo that made it feel like a Ramly burger. For that price, I expected much better.

The latte was served in a glass, which was too hot to hold comfortably. While it may look aesthetic, it’s not practical. When I asked for it to be served in a cup, they gave me a takeaway cup instead—why not use a proper cup with a handle?

When I asked for warm water, they said they only serve bottled water and couldn’t accommodate my request. A simple solution could have been boiling water from the bottle, but they didn’t offer that.

The avocado chicken sandwich was tasty, but the fries were lackluster, which was disappointing given the price.

The mushroom soup was flavorful, but my friend noticed the bowl absorbed most of the liquid, leaving behind a thick, creamy residue. Which he preferred if there's more soup

The salted egg cronut was fine in taste but lacked the flaky texture you’d expect. It was also hard to cut.

Overall, the food was inconsistent, with some hits but mostly misses. For the premium prices, I expected better quality...

Overrated. Ordered egg benedict with smoke salmon, cheese doughnut, latte and salted caramel latte. My review: Egg benadict was very disappointing (served on a small English muffin in the same size of the egg, hollandais sauce doesn’t even taste like hollandais sauce and is rather tasteless, smoke salmon in small portion, just a slice 😬, and a teeny weeny bit of veggie only. That’s all you get on your plate considering the price is almost equivalent to a good restaurant that serves good food in bigger portion.). Cheese doughnut (physically has full of cheese as the topping with buttercream glaze. However, the cheese is tasteless with no taste whatsoever and all you can taste is the buttercream glaze. The doughnut texture is very light n soft though). Latte (good latte served with no sugar, however I think they should serve it with sugar syrup separately for customer without the need for customer to ask for it) Salted Caramel Latte ( PERFECT 👌)

In summary, not recommended. My review is on the simplest food in the menu that I had ordered which couldn’t even taste as good as the average good restaurant/cafes that serves the same items, considering the high price..Food is really over priced for the “so-so” taste and portion served. Drinks are good. Nice ambiance, good place to be seen in social media though 😉. Feast your eyes but not...

First timer after being recommended by a colleague. Ordered salted egg beaf pasta, which is good. Had their salted egg cronut and peach strudel. The dessert was superb. Pasta lemak cili api is spicy (not recommended for those who don't, taste is so-so). Curry mee had better days. Cajun chicken was too salty (due to time constraint, my friend had it anyway :) It turns out our next table had the same issue for her aglio olio. The only downside is their waiting time. We were the 2nd table and mostly empty. I had to wait 30 mins for my drink to arrive (toffee frappe), and we decided to have desserts first. My food comes out 5 mins later. My dear friends had to wait almost an hour (upon ordering) for their food to arrive! We assume maybe because it's Friday noon, most of their male staff weren't around to help. But the least you could do is to inform or put on a notice of slow operation during this time. Which most of us would understand anyway -,- Too bad, we were really hungry and by the time the food arrived, we had to rush back to the office. Overall, the experience of dining in was Not Okay. Hope you guys can improve on the service.

Famed for their salted egg cronuts (croissant + donut) but I decided to give their salted egg croissant (RM14) a try when I dined here today. It wasn’t served warm so that was a surprise. Felt like it had been sitting out for a while. Taste-wise, pretty good but the texture could be improved. It wasn’t as flaky and “layery” like a croissant should be. My hot latte (RM12) was decent. I also took away a butter croissant (RM8) and an Ovamaltine croissant (RM14) to try later. They use a QR code for ordering, but weirdly their pastries are not listed on the online menu and you’d have to walk to the counter to place your order. Not sure why. It was a little inconvenient. But if you’re there to have their breakfast/lunch items like pasta, sandwiches etc, then those items are listed on their menu. I felt the service was great. The staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. Would come again to try the other pastries.
