Review of Dignity Children Foundation Café in Sentul
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
A Café with a Heartwarming Cause
I recently visited the Dignity Children Foundation Café in Sentul, and it was such a meaningful experience! This café isn’t just about good food—it’s a social enterprise that supports underprivileged children through education and vocational training.
Food & Drinks The menu offers a variety of affordable and delicious options, from local Malaysian dishes to Western-style meals. I tried their nasi lemak/nasi kerabu served with homemade pea flower favoured rice and a cup of iced latte, both of which were fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable.
Ambience The café has a simple, cozy vibe with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is modest but clean, with some uplifting messages about the foundation’s mission displayed on the walls. It’s a great place to relax, work, or just enjoy a meal while contributing to a good cause.
Service The staff, including some of the children supported by the foundation, were friendly and attentive. It was heartening to see how the café provides them with valuable skills and work experience.
Souvenirs handmade by Dignity X Sew are for sale at the venue. I got myself a handmade namecard holder (made of Batik fabric!)
Why You Should Visit Beyond just dining, every ringgit you spend here goes toward helping underprivileged youth. It’s a wonderful initiative that combines good food with social impact.
Final Thoughts If you’re in Sentul, I highly recommend stopping by Dignity Children Foundation Café. You’ll leave not only with a full stomach but also with the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made a difference.

Read moreThe food they serve is not just delicious but with good portions too. They have trainee servers from the orang asli community and refugees. Eat X doubles up as a training ground for them under this social enterprise by Dignity for Children Foundation. Eat X is a good example of food which is of high quality, but doesn't necessarily have to cost a bomb. Prices range from RM12 for the huge bowl of Nyonya Laksa (totally recommended), RM18 for a beautifully spread out Nasi Kerabu with Ayam Percik (using ingredients from their Grow X garden), Nasi Ulam for vegetarians at RM18, beef burger and other delectable dishes (google their menu). Oh, don't forget to try their Salted Egg Croissant and Green Thai Pasta. While there, get your haircut at Cut X and tailored items at Sew X (lovely face masks). They are all within the vicinity of Sentul Boulevard. The only downside is that to get empty parking spots is quite a challenge. If you're coming at peak hours and in groups, pls call ahead. With the new SOP (Covid 19), they have to distance the spacing a bit. Worth coming back many times to sample all their offerings. Have tea/coffee and their home made cakes too (baked at Bake X)! Bring friends and family to impress! They would also come...
Read moreMy wife, my son and me went there for an early dinner. Here is my review.
What I like: The foods were quite okay. I ordered their mushroom carbonara and it was pretty delicious - even my son liked it! The only downside is that the portion is quite small for me I would say.
The cafe / restaurant is quite cozy. Located at a corner, half of their space are covered by tall windows for better lighting.
The service was good. We got our drinks and meals in no time.
What I hate: The cafe space is quite small. Hence, the seatings are quite limited. I can’t imagine the crowdedness during lunch hour. There is little to no space for you to sit there, opening up your laptop to do work etc. There is just not enough space.
The food is quite expensive to be honest. But understandable due to them located in prime Sentul area specifically and in Kuala Lumpur generally. But for its taste, I couldn’t...
