1st Review: Great Indian food with reasonable price.
2nd Review after Manager comments. I'm happy that the manager takes the time to check reviews, which is how the restaurant should do. So, here I go.
I must stress that as a Chinese tasting Indian cuisine, I'm entirely basing my comments from this perspective. At times, it can be grossly inappropriate and unfair to the restaurant, especially for a cuisine that's been around for thousands of years.
We love Indian food and we often have it 1-2 times a month- from basic hawker style to semi fine-dinning Indian restaurant.
Garlic nun- great. I can recommend that instead of cutting to 2 pcs, cut it to 4 and stack them together. That way, it'll keep warm and moisture for the 2-4 pcs. A bit more butter like 5-8% more, will be very perfect.
Fried Cottage cheese- great. Charge a bit more, 6 pcs, stack them close and use a smaller plate or better with bowl to keep them warm and that extra vol. I think could bring up the flavor more.
Butter Shrimp- tasting great with nice spices coating. Again, charge perhaps RM5 more, have a few more pcs. Perhaps a small classy bronze container so that the presentation is nice and keep it warmer. Kids love this one.
Lamb biryani rice- rice portion is a little too much. Cut it down 15%. Use slightly better cut of lamb- a bit tough to chew.
Butter chicken- it was great but spices tend to be slightly too strong, just 5-8% cut down will be great. As non-indian, I must say this is like the sweet and sour pork for westerner, our taste bud are not used to stronger or authentic taste. Hard to juggle and please both sites, I'll leave the headache to you.
Lamb in curry- sorry can't remember the name. Again, spices to be 5-8% a bit too heavy.
And overall, my family of 4 tasted a slight sweetness in the food. Which, we usually will prefer not and we usually prefer natural and authentic. We also know that general public likes sweetness, but our family favors authentic ingredients. Sweet is ok but not from adding sugar or derive from artificial processes.
I can see that there are many Indians in the restaurant. So, it must be that most Indian loves it. As I mentioned, it's entirely from a Chinese perspective.
I'll for sure visit you again for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The menu boasted a variety of tempting dishes, and I had the opportunity to savor several of their specialties.
First, the Samosa prepared in Desi ghee was a true highlight. The crisp, golden pastry enveloped a savory filling that was perfectly spiced. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the use of Desi ghee added a rich, aromatic quality that set it apart.
The Chole was another standout dish. The chickpeas were cooked to perfection and coated in a flavorful gravy that had just the right balance of spices. It was the kind of dish that warms your soul with every spoonful.
Now, let's talk about the mouth-watering Chanadal paneer curry. This dish was a revelation. The paneer was incredibly tender, and the creamy lentil-based curry was simply divine. The combination of textures and flavors made it a true showstopper.
I couldn't resist trying the Odia Butadali Alu curry, and I'm so glad I did. The unique blend of flavors in this dish was a delightful surprise, and the potatoes were cooked to a perfect melt-in-your-mouth consistency.
For something lighter, I opted for the Special Odia Pakhal platter. It was a refreshing and wholesome dish, especially on a warm day. The accompaniments provided a burst of flavors and textures that made every bite interesting.
To end my meal on a sweet note, I indulged in the Yummy Rasmalai. It was the perfect dessert to complement the rich, savory dishes I had enjoyed earlier. The soft, spongy cheese soaked in sweet, creamy milk was a heavenly conclusion to my meal.
Overall, my dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delectable dishes, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance made it a memorable visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their enticing menu. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, this place is an...
